Needed recipes that can be froze
« on: March 03, 2011, 06:39:51 PM »
I need some recipes that can be made ahead and froze. I am having surgery on my right hand and I am right handed. I need to make meals and freeze them so that all we need to do is just warm them up when it is time to use them. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi Countrygirl!  :)

There are TONS of recipes in this forum's recipe section that can be frozen.
Since most foods we eat are protein based, the lend themselves well to freezing and reheating.

Here's a website that that has even more low carb recipes:
http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/recipereview/

Between the two, you should be able to find plenty of recipes that suit your taste and are freezable.
What you do today is what matters!

Yes I freeze lots of things to make those "in a hurry" meal preparation days simple.  Things like Zucchini Lasagna, Chili, Cauli Mash, Turnip Casserole and all of my baked goods.  I haven't frozen the homemade bread from the bakery book yet.  I have frozen the Macafoney & Cheese.  It was edible, but not quite as good as freshly made.  I bought a bunch of the small Ziploc dishes and freeze single serving sizes to make things easy.

Thank you Umpa for the get well wish and the information.
Thank you ShihTzuMom1 for the information and the idea with the Ziploc containers, that is exactly what I was going to do. Now I now that someone else does it too.
