HeyFriends
« on: April 21, 2014, 02:21:28 PM »
Well it has been awhile ,we have moved and I think I have finely got my thyroid meds close to right . I have ran across some very stupid doctors in the last year after being diagnosed with Hashimotos . Being left on meds that were much to low a dose caused weight gain ,one doctor would not even prescribe thyroid meds because I was eating as he said "too low carb and was causing damage to my thyroid "
I as you know did not lose much on FTS because of my thyroid condition that was misdiagnosed for I know now 10 years . But FTS was the only way I ever did lose some weight even though I was fighting against my thyroid . At least I know now that I will always have trouble losing and it is out of my control . But the way I feel eating FTS is much ,much better then when I eat all the processed carbs so many things go away when eating FTS and come back when not eating this way
For all new people here I have done away with
Headaches
Sinus issues
Acid re flux
constipation
Hemorrhoids
joint pain and swelling
bloating
so for those reasons alone I will always eat FTS if  I lose or not of course I hope to know that I am taking my medication into my own hands .
As far as Tyler (type 1 Diabetic )  goes he is 18 close to 19 and he has fell into the fast food again and he is in deep he has gained a few pounds and is having high and low blood sugars not controlled as it was on FTS . He is a adult and will have to learn for his self when his A1C is high and he has a chance of losing his driving privileges . I do not buy any bad food he has to if he wants it and nothing is in our house . My husband has lost weight and is eating FTS 90% of the rime .

Well hi there, Jo! :) :) :)
You've been missed around here!

I'm so happy to hear that you have your thyroid problem under control.
With that, it should be much easier to reach your goal.
An imbalanced thyroid can really be a show stopper.

I'm also happy to hear that Tyler is doing well, too! :)

Hi Jo, welcome back to the party. Hashimotos is your current diagnosis? I wonder why they missed that for 10 years! FTS is certainly the way to go for you as gluton is strictly barred from patients with Hashimotos Thyroid. Sorry to hear about Tyler, the ups and downs of insulin balance are tough on the body.

Hey, Jo!

I was so happy to hear that the doctors FINALLY nailed down what was wrong
and got your thyroid rebalanced, I misread what you said about Tyler.

Somehow, Tyler needs to really understand that diabetes can cause his body
irreparable harm if he does not take steps now to control it better.

He is still young... So the sooner he get's things back in control,
it will make many years of BIG positive differences in his health as he gets older.

I will hold him in my prayers.

Hi Jo, I'm glad you got your thyroid problem diagnosed and treated.  I've heard that type of imbalance affects every single cell in your body.  Hang in there!
