Breads and Crackers / Re: Katary Bakery Sunflower Seed Crackers

These crackers are the BEST!  I also use pumpkin seeds 0 carbs-I just count the parm cheese too.  I wonder if you could use cheddar?  Would they bind as good as with the parm?
 ???

This great site shows coffee with no carbs-regular brewed from grounds with tap water.  Is it wrong?  Tony referred this site to me and it seems pretty official!! ??? ???

I agree these are super!  I used pumpkin seeds and sesame and mine turned out great.my pumpkin seed bag says 2 carbs and 2 grams fiber so they are zero net.  They are called amport foods pepitas-roasted and salted pumpkin seed kernels.  My first batch was too salty so I cut back on the salt next time.

Thanks Tony they do store well!

Made regular lasagna for my family and made my lc version using low salt deli turkey for noodle layer. It was really good!  I got the idea from another low carb site.  Used  Rao's sauce...yummy and low carb. :D

Ask Umpa / Tortilla soup

Chicken Tortilla Soup
like Max and Erma’s®
I’ve seen the other recipes out there on the Web, but
once I tasted this soup in the restaurant, I knew what
was in it and knew those recipes were wrong! This is so
much simpler and, I guarantee, closer to the original taste.

Recipe Created By: Robbie
Serves: 8
Prep. Time: 0:20 or more

1/4 cup butter OR margarine
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup milk
8 oz. Velveeta process cheese food - cubed
10 oz. can Ro*Tel® tomatoes and chilies
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. chili powder
salt and pepper – to taste
flour tortillas – as needed, about 4 - 6
shredded Colby Jack cheese OR Mexican blend cheese

Umpa  what type of flour would work here?  Soy?  I would use regular cheddar too....no tortillas either

I made ktary's crackers using half sunflower seeds and  half pumpkin seeds they are really good and very, very easy to make.  They would go great with soup! 8)

Glad you tried it eliruthy I was wondering about that soup.  I lover her site as well.  I went out and bought the tool she recommends to blend that soup.  I use it a lot. Thanks for the feedback.  I will make this next week.  Here is to a healthy FTS new year! :D
