"what if I eat no carbs all day and then have 20 at dinner ?" I wasn't sure if Doug touched on this in the book or not . My sister has just been diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes . She finally listen to me and cut the carbs down and she has lost 10 Lbs . But she ask me this question and I was not sure how to answer . My thoughts were that it would be better to spread them out thru the day unless you have a special occasion So was I correct or does it matter ?

You're welcome Jo..... I do realize we are making good headway and it does my heart good to see so many wonderful success stories. There are so many people of all ages who are in need of the truth, I'm so thankful of all our wonderful readers and forum members who are out their helping spread the word.

Maybe it's just me... But I fear eating too many carbs at one time.
I've tried to keep my net carb intake to no more than about 6 grams (or less) per meal/snack.
In fact, most of the time, it is usually 4 or less.
I imagine for many folks, eating 20 carbs at one time is not a problem.
But since I lose weight (http://www.fattoskinny.com/) slowly as it is, I'm not going to tempt fate.

I know people say if you eat the carbs earlier in the day you have the chance of burning them off. However, I eat the majority of them as late in the day as I can, if I don't I can't make it through the night without waking up and thinking I will die if I don't eat. I'm not sure if it is low blood sugar or what. Someone suggested it is my liver not processing things correctly. I think once again it may be that we all have different issues and need to know our own bodies.

Truth is I'd have a hard time putting together a plate with 20 carbs on it at one time! All the foods I eat are low carb so either I would have to eat a high carb food of a dang bucket full of low carb choices :o :o
