Generally, what they state is true.
But, some of the usable (net) carb counts appear low.
For example, wheat bran is MUCH higher that 3 net grams per 1/2 cup!

Making rules with generalities can cause problems.
We must look at each veggie separately for carb counts.

Here are three sites I use for fairly reliable counts.
If two or more differ, I assume the HIGHEST net carb count, to be safe.

I don't get what they mean by "usable" carbs. That did not look right to me so I'm glad you have those links, thank you.

You're quite welcome! :)

Usable carbs are also known as digestible carbs and as net carbs.
It's those carbs that our bodies turn into glucose.
We count them into our daily 20 gram limits.
