Xylitol packets
« on: May 04, 2013, 05:40:04 PM »
I am looking to make some of Doug's recipes using Xylitol, but I only have the packets and the recipes call for 1/2 cup etc. Does anyone know how to convert packets to cups?

Hi Kylie  Welcome to the forum  :)

I hate to say it but I don't believe the packets are a stronger strength than the xylitol you get in bulk.  Since each packet holds 1 tsp you will need
48 to make 1 cup
24 to make 1/2 cup
12 to make 1/4 cup....etc   ;)

You should try Zero ,no tummy issues. Xylitol is really good for your teeth though.You can use your packets for drinks :)

Welcome to the FTS family, Kylie!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

If you use FTS zero, you'll need a conversion chart... So here you are;

I LOVE FTS ZERO!!! :) :) :) :)
It's made with sucralose which is the essence of cane sugar.
It tastes EXACTLY like sugar without the carbs or digestive side effects of most sweeteners. ;D ;D ;D

The only time I use xylitol anymore is if I want to add a "sugar crystal crunch" to what I'm making, or some added bulk.
I find it to be sweeter than sugar. So it takes less.

I bought a 15 pound bag at vitaminlife.com back in November 2011 and still have most of it!
That's not a problem, as xylitol has a VERY VERY long shelf life if you keep it dry.
