When I'd fish for them, we'd do what's called "bottom bouncing".
That's where you lower your bait/lure to the bottom, lift the rod tip, and drop it to the bottom again over and over.
The boat was normally just drifting. When it's under power, it's very, very slow.
I often wondered how many strikes were out of a halibut's anger for being hit on the head. :D :D :D

When I was a young (my early teens) I'd get seasick easily.
As I got older, that tendency went away... Thank God! ;D
