Title: SOS - My dad has now been diagnosed with ...
Post by: Sunshine on May 17, 2014, 11:57:23 AM
He was told he has a very fatty liver and is diabetic.  My mom is reading the red book now but doesn't feel it will work for him and is highly skeptical.  What do I tell them to help as a concerned daughter?

Hello, Sunshine. :)

Tell your mom and dad that you know of a 62 year old man who was diagnosed morbidly obese,
with type II diabetes, high blood pressure, high blood triglycerides, and bad cholesterol levels.
Because of the severity of these ailments, his doctor prescribed 5 different medications he had to take everyday.

His doctor told him that if his condition did not improve soon, he would likely be dead within 5 years!

Tell them that ALL these problems reversed for him, over three years ago, by living the FTS lifestyle.
Within 6 months of starting FTS, his doctor removed all medications and declared he was no longer diabetic!
And to this day, he no longer takes ANY medications and feels like he's 30 years old again!... That man, is me! :) :) :)
You dad's health will VASTLY improve as well, if he adopts FTS.

The science behind FTS is solid as a rock!
If we remove the sugars that cause elevated blood glucose, our health VASTLY improves and we lose our excess fat.
As someone who has tried virtually every weight loss (http://www.fattoskinny.com/) plan out there over the decades (except surgery),
I can safely assert that the FTS lifestyle not only works, but works for the long haul.

Thank you for such a quick and thorough explanation.  She's borrowing my red book and signed up on the forum so hopefully you'll "meet" her soon.  She's very skeptical so I know she'll be on the forum :)

This is very simple Sunshine. After your Mom finishes the book insist that Dad read it as well. Once read insist they jump in both feet for 30 days, one month is all all you ask for. The goal is to have Dad's blood re-checked after that 1 month on FTS. The results of his blood sugar will do the rest :)

Good Luck!

Hi, Sunshine! :)

Doug's right!... If your dad's doctor was like mine, he took a second blood draw because he could not believe the results of the first.

We'll be looking forward to meeting your mom soon!
Hopefully, your dad will join her.

As you know, our forum family has support here that's better than those weight loss (http://www.fattoskinny.com/) plans that charge money to stay involved.
We do it as an act of love toward others. Because we want to see others save their own lives with FTS.
We are a family! :) :) :)

I left my book with them and spent some time giving them ideas of what to make with the food they have.  My mom is signed up for the forum so all I can do is hope & pray.  We live several states away so I can't do any micromanaging :). But they've seen the difference in me and we've eaten several meals together on our trip so hopefully that helped seeing real life examples.
