I had a reader approach me at a book signing, she told me her weight loss had stalled and she couldn't understand why?? "I'm certain I stay under 20 carbs per day" she exclaimed. As she was talking to me she was popping Tic Tacs into her mouth. I asked her, "Did you check the label on those mints". She told me she did and indeed she had. The label said zero carbs as shown below. The serving size was 1 mint. I asked her how many mints she eats per day and she answered, "not many just one pack". I then showed her the ingredient list on the label. To her surprise she discovered that Tic Tacs were pure sugar!

"How can they LIE like that!" she asked. I told her the serving size is so small per mint the government doesn't require them to list the sugar content

ALWAYS CHECK THE INGREDIENTS A simple mistake like this can sabotage your entire program. 45 days later the same reader contacted me back, she had lost 21 pounds  ;D

Nutrition Label carb counts are only clues. And NOT all the facts we need.

When I shop, I look at Nutrition Label carb counts... If low, I then look at the ingredient list.
If any one of the top three ingredients is high in carbs, I don't buy the product.
