Hi Mare  you absolutely can eat vegan.  You will basically find vegan replacements for any egg or dairy products that you would use and replace any protein with things such as soy.  I'm not vegan so I can't give enough advice but I know we do have members that are.  One that stands out to me is TabyTaby.  If you message her I'm sure she would be happy to help you out with suggestions of products and such.  Maybe other will comment here as well  :)

I will be eating vegan for Lent.  My plan is to continue the basic principles of the diet but I will be adding fruit (not too much) and beans/lentils to replace the meat and dairy. And I plan to add in exercise to off set the extra carbs. Hopefully it will work out!

Hi Mare, only Strawberries, Blackberries and Raspberries for fruit. No lentils or hard beans, only Edamame from your freezer section or canned black Soy beans. Eat only the veggies from the approved list in the FTS book being sure to keep an eye on portions.

Replace meatballs in spaghetti sauce with hard boiled eggs....delicious and full of protein!

Thank you for the feedback everyone :)

Doug, I can't have eggs either. So basically no meat dairy or eggs lol.  I will do my best and will get back on the plan. After Lent.  Wish me luck ;)

Yes, vegan means no animal products in diet but I'm not vegan. Well, if you are determined to yourself to go on vegan then I believe you can do it. Goodluck!
