I just found out today I'm going to Fort Myers Florida with my sister her husband and my husband, we are all on FTS so this will make the trip easy, we are staying in a Condo so can make a lot of our own meals. I would like to lose about 10lbs before March 25th..I think I can....I think I can! I can't wait to feel that warm sun even though it has been a nice winter in Canada.

General Discussion / toasted my GG crackers
« on: February 08, 2012, 11:48:25 AM »
Today I thought I would try something different and toast my GG crackers, I put low carb peanut butter and a smiggent(sp) is that really a word of low carb jam. It was yummmmmmmmmmy! It's hard to believe I'm excited over GG crackers, the only trick is you can't toast them to long maybe 1min on low setting, they will burn easy.

General Discussion / checking labels
« on: February 02, 2012, 10:24:55 PM »
I was grocery shopping today and I decided to check labels on all kinds of things, I couldn't believe there is carbs in almost everything. The only thing that didn't have carbs was meat and some cheeses, now I know why so many people are overweight.I can see that for the rest of our lives we are really going to have to watch for them.

« on: February 01, 2012, 09:19:17 PM »
It just breaks my heart watching this show the story is about a women name Melissa who weighs 600lbs and she can't stop eating most of it is high carb (damn sugar) it is killing so many people. It should be a illegal drug! For the next 4 weeks on TLC there is 4 stories of overweight people and their journey. She just had weight loss surgery so I not sure how this will turn out.

General Discussion / Husband asking Question!
« on: January 30, 2012, 09:01:14 AM »
Wow this is the first time in 29 years that my husband came up staires and I was making his sandwich for his lunch and he said isn't that poison, I looked at him like he was crazy...I said no I just bought that bread haha, who knew he's been listened!Well that was my opening to tell him about FTS then we sat down and I showed him a few of Doug's video, I love Doug's passion for FTS and Hubby was impressed with the food videos. My favorite is when Doug shows people how much sugar is in food that people thought they were eating good.My hubby was told him he is type 2 diabetes this year and is on Met formin so this is perfect timing.

General Discussion / News Flash
« on: November 26, 2010, 11:53:49 AM »
As I was watching CTV News the other night they said coming up that all these countries got together to find out what is the best way to lose weight and keep it off.I thought to myself here we go I got to stay up and see this, well to my surprise they said eating lean protein and low GI food like veg will take off weight and keep it off, maybe the world is catching on to FTS way off life after all.I live in Canada so maybe no one else in the USA heard this on their news.
