General Questions / Re: Breakfast on the go
« on: July 10, 2012, 05:56:03 AM »
Hi Millie,
I am a new member as well going on week 3 and work long shifts. 7a-7p so I have to pack my whole day with me. I do the same thing that most others have mentioned. I usually will make an omlet with spinach , mushrooms, onions and anything else that is "low carb" that  you like and top it with cheese, put it in tupperware and on my way I go. For lunch I do the same. I will cook chicken the night before, or sandwhich steak in little bit of oil or pad of butter, season with salt and pepper cheese on top and off I go.
Best of luck on your new journey
: )
Steph

I look forward to sharing my "nursing"knowledge with everyone. To clarify Stevia and your product are both counted as zero net carbs correct?

First off I must say the response you get back so quickly from everyone including the "super stars themselves, ( Doug & Umpa) is truly inspiring and makes me want to keep going with this. I am not a huge coffee drinker. I drink one small mug in the morning and that is it. I have tried stevia and I do not like it one bit. I do use the heavy whipping cream which I count as 0 net carbs. Looks like I will be ordering your sweetner because I just can not drink it without some type of "sugar". I am going to go to home page and read about splenda, I had read the chapter in book about sugar alcohols, and like I said being a nurse I do alot of my own research because I deal with alot of diabetic patients so I want to be up to date on knowledge. I appreciate all the help thus far. Is there anything else I can use until by FTS sweetener gets to me other than splenda?

thanks Umpa! Where should I post my meal plans so everyone can help me out. What I do know is i have been counting 1 pack of splenda as 1 net carb and 1 cup of coffee as 1 net carb. otherwise i have not used many condiments . thanks again for getting back to me : )

General Questions / coffee
« on: July 08, 2012, 10:03:42 AM »
Hi All ,
I know I read in the book that coffee is 1 net carb, but after doing some investigating I am confused. I use the keurig green mountain k-cups french vanilla and they say 0 net carbs . For the past week I have been counting 1 net carb for spenda pack and 1 net carb for coffee . Anyone have anything to clarify this? Thanks Steph

Lean On My Shoulder / week 2
« on: July 07, 2012, 05:58:25 PM »
Hello All,
I have accomplished week two but am slightly disappointed at the fact I have only lost 1lbs this whole week. I know being a nurse that everyone's body reacts differently but is there an average amount that everyone loses or does it truly vary. The only thing that i can think of is that my boyfriend and I went hiking yesterday  ( yes in the 99 degree weather here in Jersey) and we drank a ton of water and needless to say burned alot of calories and used alot of muscles that have NOT been used in a LONG time. Knowing how the body works I know my muscles are "screaming right Now" and I am hoping just holding on to water because they are inflamed from being overworked yesterday. Any thoughts on this.

p.s. how do i get my pic on here?

p.p.s. how do i make a ticker for my weight loss ?

I am reading faithfully behind the scenes what everyone writes despite not writing much back to anyone, I am trying to take this all in and remain successful. ( fingers crossed)

Hello All,
I have enjoyed reading many of your post thus far. I have completed my first week on FTS and I have lost 6lbs so far! I figured I wanted to make sure it was going to work before i dedicated myself to using the website as a source of support. I am happy to say I feel great ( now that the first 3-4 days are over) I am looking forward to becoming friends with all of you and sharing my journey as you all are.
Stephanie  ;)
