Low carb Baked Mushroom Caps with Crabmeat Stuffing
INGREDIENTS
1 cup lump crabmeat
1 egg
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ cup chopped green bell pepper
¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
6-8 large mushroom caps
hot sauce to taste
salt & pepper to taste
Buy a can of pasteurized lump crabmeat from your grocer’s sea food department. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of crab, 1 egg, ¼ cup chopped onion, ¼ cup chopped green pepper, and a ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese. Place large mushroom caps on a cookie sheet. Stuff each cap and bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Serve with hot sauce.
TIP - Substitute artichoke hearts for the mushroom caps for Baked Artichoke Hearts with Crabmeat Stuffing.

Dougs smoker element burned out and we had a turkey thawed out and ready to cook and he wanted smoked not roasted so he turned his grill into a smoker! It was so good!Apple smoked goodness! :)

We use our Weber with indirect heat and mesquite charcoal to cook our turkeys. It has a mild smoked flavor that we love. Even the gravy is smoky.
