Izzet -- Is this 0 carbs? They don't list the Malitol as a sugar alcohol. I miss honey and would love to have some every once and awhile with Beanit Butter.

Hi Rena! :)

Honey Tree's SF Honey has 0 net carbs.
Total carbs come from sugar alcohols (polyols), primarily malitol, which have 0 net carb grams.

I've tried several brands, and this stuff by far is the best imitation honey out there.
It goes well with Beanit Butter! :)

As a reminder for newbies... Be careful with polyols!!!
They can stall out weight loss (http://www.fattoskinny.com/) and can cause gastric distress! :o

I love the taste!

Oh wow....I love xylitol since it's all natural.  Wow it's expensive, too. lol  I may have to try it sometime when I have some extra money. lol

I can make a Beanit butter & honey sandwich with my almond bread or the lavish bread . I use it for my honey mustard sauce when I make fried chicken . I dont use it alot because it does have so many alcohols in it .

I'm kind of holding off opening my only jar of Beanit Butter so I'll have it to make cookies right before we go camping in about 2 weeks. S'MORES ... remember!

But ...

If I can find this at our Walmart tomorrow, I am SO making a BB & honey sandwich! I'll use the OMM recipe and use flax and maybe a little cinnamon. I can't wait. Thanks, Izzet!

Thanks Umpa!

I would like to add this warning to the sugar free honey.

WARNING: Even small amounts cause excessive foul emissions.

I ended up taking it back and will look into Xylitol Sugar Free honey from Netrition.com.  This brand tastes great but my system can not tolerate malitol and the other sugar alcohols.  Xylitol is a natural sweetener made from birch tree so it doesn't bother me.  I would use this product with caution if you are sensitive to sugar alcohols.  I can't even eat sugar free candy with it anymore without the same results. lol

I had to walk (run) away from the malitol too Izzet. It was causing me sever cramping. :)
