Ok - shower and exfoliate especially knees, ankles, elbows, back of knees and sides of feet.  Then lightly exfoliate the rest of your body.  Once out of the shower, dry off and use a Vaseline type product and rub into elbows, ankles, knees, - all the places you heavily exfoliated.  The Vaseline helps provide a barrier so you don't get uneven tone at the end.  Then I use regular body lotion on the tops of my feet and the regular body lotion provides a lighter barrier to keep the tone even.  It's line the gradual tanners on the market that are somewhat half lotion half self-tanner.  So mix lotion with tanning stuff if you want to start small and don't be afraid to do test spots.  I usually use my tummy or upper thighs.  Then I swear by the self-tanning mit sims by St Tropez. It's multi-use and wash and air dry as needed.  Using the mit helps you rub the tanner on evenly.  Don't be afraid to aggressively rub it in and rub lightly over ankles and feet - the Vaseline/body lotion will help keep it even but sometimes I'll use a cotton ball if I think I was a little careless.  For my face I usually wear a tight fitting shower cap and put Vaseline on my eyebrows and lips and sometimes I mix the tanner with a little moisturizer and sometimes I don't.  Don't worry if you make a mistake  - usually the next day you can exfoliate off any streaks or touch up with makeup.  But that's why I swear by St Tropez - it's rare I get any streaks.  It just looks crazy going on and the scent is very pleasant.  They have several types of tanners and 2 shades.  Hope that helps???!!!!  Good luck!0

It makes me feel better too!  And I like that I'm getting stronger and the "ripples" are slowly starting to smooth out :)

He says "he's doing it with me" but it appears only on certain meals or when he "feels" like it.  The sugar free fiber gummies are at least taking the edge off his large appetite so sometimes that makes it easier for him to eat less of the non-approved foods.  He's just not quite ready to put both feet in the water.  I look at it as more motivation for myself to stay strict in order to hopefully inspire him (and others).

I left my book with them and spent some time giving them ideas of what to make with the food they have.  My mom is signed up for the forum so all I can do is hope & pray.  We live several states away so I can't do any micromanaging :). But they've seen the difference in me and we've eaten several meals together on our trip so hopefully that helped seeing real life examples.

I'm having the best success with St Tropez - I know, I know - it's pricey - but it looks amazing and there is zero streaking, and zero orange!  In fact when it goes on it's like Army green and blotchy - but you go to bed and shower it off and it looks like I've been on the beach all day!  I have a few secrets I've learned along the way if you want to know - just say the word!

My hubby can't do it either - he'd rather starve.  It's just handy while traveling by air.  Once we landed our father in law had the low sugar Detour Bars - they buy at Costco in a 3 bar variety pack and they are between 1 and 3g of sugar and hubby liked those more than anything else.

We also grabbed the VitaFusion Fiber Gummies and he likes those because they taste like candy and so that's been helpful for him not to feel starved without the bread which he's trying to let go of but can't seem to let go permanently yet.

My friend told me to get some sun to help the appearance of my arms, etc.  So I found a good self tanner and it's true - a little bronzing does wonders :)

We visited a Coney Island while traveling and they offered a 2 hot dog special topped with ground beef or chili and a Greek salad - I was elated - ordered without the buns and made sure no sugar in the beef seasoning, no chili.  Had with a little mayo and was full for hours!

With all the traveling we've been doing I've been experimenting with different levels of protein and fiber to help me through any unexpected situations.  When we've traveled by air - protein powder was a lot lighter weight to pack than protein bars.  I've had nice results from Fit 15 from GNC.  I've tried both the Chocolate & Vanilla Flavors and like them about equally.  They mix easily in a shaker bottle and I use the 30 calorie/less than 1 carb (per cup) Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (which I buy when we land).

I haven't experienced any negative side effects and enjoy the taste.  Here's the link to the product; it's basically 100 calories per scoop with 1 net carb/only 1g sugar.  And it says it has some weight management properties which I can't really comment on their effectiveness yet as it's too early.

All in all - it does what I need it to do and is portable!

Thank you for such a quick and thorough explanation.  She's borrowing my red book and signed up on the forum so hopefully you'll "meet" her soon.  She's very skeptical so I know she'll be on the forum :)

Yayi I love to inspire people!  I'm doing 100 squats a day usually in 25 increments and every other day with weights and different feet positions.  On no weight days I try to do extra and that's when I challenge myself with 25 more while cooking!!  100 sit-ups 5 days a week usually in 20 increments and in between each increment I do 15 tricep push-ups too :). The jiggly is getting less each week and the weight loss is still going even though a little slower as I'm close to where I want to be :)

He was told he has a very fatty liver and is diabetic.  My mom is reading the red book now but doesn't feel it will work for him and is highly skeptical.  What do I tell them to help as a concerned daughter?

Still plugging away - things are slowly toning up and even though it's small changes it's enough to keep me going!
