Wow I am shocked on how high your food is.
Is the seafood the same?
I am glad to be American.

I'd need to buy a couple dozen chicks and set up a hen house!

Wow!!!... :o :o :o If I lived down under, I would too!
Would have some beef and pork around too! 8)

Sitz, my husband was the same way. He said it's really expensive to eat fresh and that I should just to portion control and count calories. He is now REALLY glad I didn't listen to him. He came around really quickly though and since has lost 50 pounds himself. Bring your wife here to forums, let her see how well everyone is doing, have her send us private messages if needed. She'll come around. :)

I buy fresh salmon cutlets at about $25 -$32/kg ($12.40-$16/lb), shrimp/prawns are approx $18/kg ($9/lb).  These are the only 2 I am interested in so I don't usually price the others, though lobster goes for about $40 each.

A friend stated it might be relavant to rates of pay - suppose average rate of pay/hr for non-professionals is about $16-18/hr here.  No tipping.
