I have been eating this way since oct.16th..today my dumb butt ate at snickers...y y y did I do that..
-
Keke, step away from the Snickers and just get back at it. If eating that sugar has started you to crave more sugar, just ride out the crave, don't give in to it and it will go away. Good luck!
-
Keke! - You've lost 27 pounds in less than 3 months! That's fantastic. A 2 oz. snickers bar isn't going to triumph over you.
-
Yep, you're human....each day is a brand new start!!
-
LOL Keke -- don't worry about it. The world is still spinning. ;)
Chocolate is my big love and there are some great low-carb/sugar-free chocolate bars. Next time you're in the store, look for them in the candy section. Just one tiny bar helps my cravings. Maybe it will work for you, too.
Good luck!

All will be well KeKe! :D
Paula where have you been? How is Doug?

Hi KEKE! :)
Don't worry about eating that Snickers. Just learn from it.
Think about what you were feeling before you ate it so that you will be better prepared for the next temptation.
I've always been a chocolate candy bar fan. Snickers was one of my favorites.
But I found a way to deal with those occasional urges.
Whitman's and Russell Stover make sugar free 1 net carb per 3 piece serving of candy.
Most grocers sell one, or the other, or both.
I suggest you find some and buy a box.
Stash it away for those times that you get a strong urge for chocolate candy.

I love sugarfree Reeses peanut butter cups. I buy them at Walmart. They have the best selection of sugarfree candy. You have come so far don't let one slip up make you start gaining back the weight you worked so hard to lose. Just 5 grams of sugar a day and 20 carbs. You can do it KEKE!

THANK U THANK U THANK U ALL SO MUCH...AFTER THE BIG FUSS OVER THE CANDY BAR AND HOW I LOVED IT GOING DOWN..ONCE IT GOT THERE IT WASN'T EVEN AS GOOD AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE...DANG

This reminds me of that saying; "A moment on the lips. A lifetime on the hips.".
In other words... It's not worth it!

I always start fresh if I have a slip-up! I do notice if I eat sugary foods, I crave them almost immediately again. Live, learn, slip-up once in awhile, then get back on track! :)

Hello Aim1107! :)
I don't believe I've had the pleasure of greeting you before.
Welcome to the F2S family! :) :) :)
You're right about how carb cravings work for folks like us that are addicted to sugar.
But once we get through "sugar detox" (usually about 2 weeks or less), it gets much easier to avoid the old high-sugar foods.
And after that, it's all psychological... And that's where the support on this forum comes in!
-
Hi Aim, welcome to the family! YES....sugar leads to more sugar :o

Think of it like driving in bad weather. If your tires hit the ditch, you don't just let go of the steering wheel and stay in the ditch. Pull your tires back on the FTS Highway. This is just a speedbump on the road to Skinnyville. ;)

Hi snobles! :)
Check out the "Desserts and Sweets" section of the "Recipe Exchange".
You will find low-carb chocolate and cheesecake!... And both are VERY good! Yummmmm! :) :) :)
Sugar free Jello is a staple at my house.

Excellent analogy, Cara, especially with today's weather!
