I made a pizza using the basic OMM recipe. I just added a little extra flaxmeal, some garlic salt, some Italian seasoning, and a little more water. Then I cooked it in the microwave on a plate for 2 minutes. After that, I added my sauce, cheese, and toppings. I baked it at 325 degrees for about 7 minutes.
It tasted really good, but I probably should have brushed it with olive oil and cooked it a few minutes before adding the toppings -- just like we do when we use tortillas. I'll try that next time. I had low-carb tortillas to make a pizza tonight, but I wanted to see if I could do it with the OMM. :D

LOL -- yeah, no kidding. It's become a quest to see what I can make. So far ...
Muffins
Bread
Hot Dog Buns
Hamburger Buns
Pancakes
Chocolate Cake
Pizza
Yesterday I made it into 2 slices of bread and then stuck it in the fridge overnight. I wanted to see how well it would hold up. It was fine and I made a grilled ham & cheese sandwich with it today. We're going camping soon and won't have our travel trailer, so I might make a few slices to put in our cooler and see how those work.
And tomorrow is my husband's birthday, so while everyone is eating his fudgy cake, I'll have a OMM mini cake! :)
-
I can add "corndog", garlic bread and french toast to that list....LOL It's a mix that keeps on giving ;D ;D
-
I love it because it is quick! i would have never of thought of using my microwave to bake! Too cool! 8)

Oh, Umpa, you're so BRAVE! Posting when the red letters say to start another thread... :-*
-
I hate being told what to do! :D :D
-
Me, too! But I try to follow the rules - and the directive was in RED, and said "Please"! :D My fingers hovered over the keyboard...
By the way, I couldn't eat all the pizza so the leftover half went into the refrigerator and the next day I had it for lunch. I was particularly interested to see how the crust held up. I took that first bite and thought, ewh, the crust is kind of spongy - then it dawned on me that I was chewing on the ground beef!!! :D :D :D The crust was perfect! Sometimes I just have to blink a lot (waiting for my brain to catch up)! ::)
-
:D :D Next time think Rebel without a cause!! :D :D :D :D
-
Sometimes you just have to go for it and color outside the lines ;D
-
Yep! Or play in the rain! My favorite! Just don't do it if you have been bad!Never know when a lightning bolt may come your way :D :D :D
-
Here where it hardly ever rains, we DO go play in the rain! A friend and I took our shoes off and splashed in the puddles - made our old dudes come out and get wet, too! :D :D :D She's moved away and our old dudes are gone now, but I still go stand in it if I see it coming! Love the rain! :D Now I take little dog out when it rains! She thinks I'm crazy! (< Oops! There it is again!) :o

We just got about 5 inches of snow last night!
I think I'll stay inside by the fireplace and look at it out the window... :D :D :D
-
That sounds wonderful Tony. Being that I am from Kansas and now live in South Carolina I miss seeing the snow. Although we did have some last year it isn't a usual thing and haven't had any this year. Love looking at it out the window... Stay warm!! :)
-
Snow does sound lovely - fireplace, hot tea, picture window...

Hi ~
Sorry if I am just not seeing it ??? but could someone please guide me to the recipe for OMM? It looks like ALOT can be done with it. The corn dog comment got my attention! It looks like some type of lc dough recipe?
Thanks so much!

That link worked Suzlyn ~ Thanks a bunch!!!!! :)

Hi Kim yes it is a very versatile recipe. You wouldn't believe how filling it is :) Here is a link to the origanal post http://www.fattoskinny.net/index.php?topic=968.120 (http://www.fattoskinny.net/index.php?topic=968.120) You can find it in the Breads and Crackers page. Any time you are looking for something on the site make sure you are searching from the home page. Otherwise you are just searching in the area you are in. If you do a search on the home page it will bring up all discussions about it. We seem to talk about it a lot around here...LOL Here is a link to our discussion about it with hot dogs. http://www.fattoskinny.net/index.php?topic=2899.0 (http://www.fattoskinny.net/index.php?topic=2899.0) The recipe I posted on here is pretty much what I go to when I'm hungry for a corn dog ;) Hope this helps..
