Title: HELLO???... Anybody home out there?
Post by: mouseissue on April 28, 2014, 02:18:03 PM
Hi, Gang! :)

It's been unusually quiet here on our forum the last few days.

I hope everyone in our FTS family is doing well.
And that those who're not, speak up and avail themselves to our support.

God bless our FTS family!
Tony

Hi Tony  ;D. Was just thinking the same.  With all the new people joining I would have thought there would be loads of  people introducing  themselves and making comments.

Welcome everyone - don't be shy, come say hello.  We are here for you.  Tell us your story, ask advice, vent, cry, share your life.  We are here to support each other.

Hi Tony & Morgan,

I've been so busy with Jobs Daughters. Delivering enchilada orders today. Mary earned $130 towards her expenses to go to Grand Bethel.
We had a potluck at the park yesterday. I brought mozzarella sticks wrapped in Italian lunch meats and 3/4 of them were eaten up.
I played kickball with a cute little 6 yr old girl. Her older brother is in Demolays, young Masons. The picnic was for the boys & girls who meet at the Masons lodge. They played baseball & Volley ball. Mary only wanted to watch the "March of Remembrance" ceremony. She loved listening to Clara Knopfler, Auschwitz survivor. Of 36 family members, she and her mother were the only survivors.

Busy is good :)

Agreed, Doug! :)

When we're busy we don't have time to think about food.
This is very helpful for those FTS family members that tend to think about it too much.

Hi de ho neighbors  ;D ;D ;D  I just received a email from Umpa and it made me realize how long it had been sense I have been on the forum.  Geeez....Sorry I've been MIA for so long...so many things happening in life right now Haha  Chasing a 2 year old grandbaby, getting ready for a new one any time now and both son and daughter graduating college within a week.  On top of that my sweet daughter was accepted into law school so we have been scrambling to find her a new apartment and of course those finances for her   sheesh.   It will all come together though... I never forget about my FTS family.  I have missed everyone!!    Still staying the coarse maintaining which feels great!!

I have noticed so many new members joining though....I agree with Morgan.....everyone don't be shy   ;) ;)

Hi, everyone -- I've been reading during the work week, but not able to answer because my "typing" really sucks on the tablet, etc.  I hate some bad shrimp the other night and have been not feeling well.....I really should leave shrimp alone always.

Hi Pammyb, welcome to the party! If the scale doesn't start moving by Monday check your portion sizes and really look closely at your food for hidden carbs  8)

Welcome to the FTS family, pammyb!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Keep in mind FTS is a lifestyle and not a race.
Each of us will lose at our own rates.
I happen to be a VERY slow loser no matter what I did to speed things up. But over time, I did reach goal.
After a while, FTS becomes as automatic as breathing.

Eating this way, we are healing our bodies and metabolisms from years of carb abuse.
From that abuse, our bodies have been subjected to damaging inflammation, high blood pressure, type II diabetes, etc..
Excess fat loss is a byproduct of the healing.

Like Umpa pointed out, taking measurements is very important.
Very often, we are losing fat and shrinking, even when the scale is dead still.
So whatever you do, DO NOT become too focused on the scale!
It can be misleading and ruin some otherwise wonderful days.
