General Questions / Cajun Land Cajun seasoning for Jerky
« on: May 21, 2010, 03:09:21 PM »
Is the Cajun Land Cajun seasoning only available on-line, I didn't see in the FTS book where to order? I just bought a dehydrator and wanting to make jerky...I also can not find the sugar free teriyaki in any stores here so far in our Fargo-Moorhead area, so will probally need to online order that too.

I also found this site the other day and wanted to try some of the products, but wanted to ask if anyone has ordered from them, since I love the taste of Xylitol, but not the other artificial sweeteners?
Thanks,

Breakfast Recipes / Pancakes with Almond Flour/Meal!

Low Carb Pancakes

Recipe

1 Cup Almond Flour
2 eggs
¼ cup water (for puffier pancakes us sparkling water) I have not used the sparkling water
¼ teaspoon of salt
5 drops FAT TO SKINNY Zero Sweetener
Cinnamon if you like...I have to have cinnamon in mine.
I mixed eggs well first then added other ingredients.
Pancakes will not bubble, but do take on pancake shape. I heated until done in no-stick pan with a little olive oil to coat the pan. I put my own olive oil in pump sprayer! I used Bob’s Red Mill Finely Ground Almond meal/flour –Total Carbs 6g, Dietary Fiber 3g, Sugars 1g, protein 6g.
For topping I found sugar free strawberry jelly, and sugar free syrup, and needed only a teaspoon of each for one pancake! Very yummy…

Beverage Recipes / Creamy hot or cold Cocoa!
« on: May 04, 2010, 06:52:25 PM »
My FIRST CREATION! My taste Buds drove me to my recipe!!!

I really missed my skim milk and hot cocoa so much that yesterday I was at the grocery store trying to find a substitute for my special need! This recipe is very creamy, and a 1/2 cup satisfies me. I will list the nutritional info off of the cartons, and if anyone knows different please let me know! I wanted to be able to find a source for Vitamin D and Calcium, and in moderation because of the Almond Milk Carbs, I will use this product. I also do not care for Soy Milk.
I will list the products and then how I mixed them, and of course you will change them to meet your taste needs. :)

I am wondering why foods such as chocolate and candies that are sugar free, still have such a high carb count?

General Discussion / Kippered Seafood Snacks
« on: May 02, 2010, 12:30:05 PM »
Hello Doug,
My son and I like Kippered Snacks Sardines for a snack. The package says Total Carb. 0g, Sugars 0g, protein 16g, Fiber 0g. Does this mean we have a healthy snack with no carb count?
I am in the process of getting the book, and recipes.
