Must make this -- thanks, Umpa!

Hopefully, I can order more Beanit Butter after the New Year. I wish that was sold in stores. I guess maybe the 1-carb IM Healthy would work, too, which is one I can find locally.

Hi Jo! :)

I like Adams natural peanut butter.
It's the "Real McCoy" 100% pure peanuts... If you don't stir it once in a while, a ton of oil will surface.
All good natural peanut butters will do that.

Hi Jo! :)

I found it at Costco.
There are 4 net grams in a 2 TBSP serving.

Most "natural" peanut butters are 3 to 4 net grams per 2T.
Check your local stores. You're bound to find one.
As always, check the label carefully... Natural does not always mean pure and added carbs may exists.

And 50-50 brand foods are pricey. But I've found them to be very good.

Hi Jo I was going to tell you that I found Smart Balance at my local grocery store that has 4 net carbs per 2 Tbs. but when I looked on line to find you a link it shows a different nutrition label  >:( >:(  http://www.smartbalance.com/products/peanut-butters/omega-peanut-butter-chunky (http://www.smartbalance.com/products/peanut-butters/omega-peanut-butter-chunky)  I get so frustrated with these companies!!  Mine says 6g total carbs with 2g fiber..... on line it shows 8g total carbs with 2g fiber  :-\ That is about the same you will find with Jiffy natural.   It is hard to know what to believe at that point...grrrrrr  I think I'll call and complain to the company and get some clarification  ;) In my search though I see smuckers has only 4g net  ;D  http://www.walmart.com/ip/Smucker-s-Natural-Chunky-Peanut-Butter-16-oz/10453061#Nutrition+Facts (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Smucker-s-Natural-Chunky-Peanut-Butter-16-oz/10453061#Nutrition+Facts)

Like Tony said look for the natural stuff....usually along the top shelves in the stores

I happened upon a grocery store called "Trader Joe's" while visiting my son in Annapolis last year. They have a peanut butter that is awesome! It has flax seeds in it andit is only 2 g net carbs per 2 T. Here is a link you can use to see it: http://www.traderjoesfan.com/Trader_Joes/valencia_peanut_butter_with_roasted_flaxseeds/details/ (http://www.traderjoesfan.com/Trader_Joes/valencia_peanut_butter_with_roasted_flaxseeds/details/)

Your carb counts sound high for 2 tablespoons.Doug mixes Smuckers Natural peanut butter 50-50 with beanit butter because the beanit butter is too sweet for him.Peter Pan is 3 carbs for 2 tablespoons and Jif is a 4 carbs. Smuckers Natural is 4 carbs for 2 tablespoons but by cuttting it with the Beanit butter its a 2 carbs per 2 tablespoons.Beanit Butter is a 0 carb product.I guess if you don't  eat alot its no big deal but I eat alot of beanit butter. ;)

I thought they were high as well Umpa.  I have jars at home but when you check on-line they seem to say something totally different??  Mixing is the only way I can eat the beanit butter... I think Doug is right.  Maybe it is too sweet

Here is something I didn't know though..... the Jiff natural has more sugar in it....better choice is the Simply Jif  :)

It's 4 net carbs per 2 TBSP, Jo. :)

Owensmath's option is a better choice.
Using flaxseeds helps hold down the carbs.

Hmmmm... I wonder if flaxseeds could be added to other peanut butters to lower the carbs (by volume)?
I have some in the pantry... I guess it's time for another experiment! ;D

I just made this recipe for a dinner party and changed it up a bit.I used whipping cream in place of the almond milk and replaced the beanit butter with Peter Pan no high fructose corn syrup(at walmart) its wicked low in carbs Freya.I also added natural almonds about 10.The natural almonds stay crunchy. It was a huge hit! It lightened up the consistency ;)
