Frozen Peanut Butter Pie
I have broken this into three steps.Pie shell,then filling, then chocolate shell.
Preheat oven to 350 F and grease a pie pan.
• Ingredients for pie shell
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 12 drops FAT TO SKINNY Zero Sweetener
• 1/2 Tbsp vanilla
• 1egg (room temp is best)
• 1/8 cup unsweetened cocoa
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
• 1/2 cups flax seed meal
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 4 teaspoons cream
• 1/4 cup water
• Preheat oven to 350 F and grease a pie pan.
1) Cream the butter until fluffy.
2) Add the sweetener to the butter and cream them together until fully combined (aim for a fluffy texture).
3) Add the vanilla and beat the egg into the mixture.
4) Add salt and cocoa, beat well.
5) Add chocolate, beat until fluffy.
6) Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well to combine.
7) Fill pie pan with the pie shell batter and work it up sides of pie pan and on top.
8) Bake at 350 for 15 minutes Cool completely.
*Ingredients for Filling
1 1/3 cups Beanit Butter(or favorite low sugar peanut butter change carb count if you use another peanut butter )
24 drops FAT TO SKINNY Zero Sweetenerl
1 1/3 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2 2/3 cups heavy whipping cream
3 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
With a mixer combine peanut butter and sweetener until mixed well.
Add the unsweetened almond milk and blend well.
Pour in heavy whipping cream. and vanilla extract.
Put in Fridge to get cold.
Pour mix into ice cream machine and chill.
Pour into pie shell and freeze.Once frozen proceed to chocolate shell
*Ingredients for chocolate shell
1 square unsweetened bakers chocolate
2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
2 drops FAT TO SKINNY Zero Sweetener
2 tablespoons water
Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Add rest of ingredients.
*if chocolate gets too thick add water
Pour on top of pie spread out evenly ,freeze and eat.

Yep.Just pour it into the pie shell and freeze overnight.Then the next day do your chocolate shell.I will do the carb count today.I still have my one year old grandson so my time is limited! :D

Yeah I have to be slicker than that these days. My mum is getting older and doesnt like to do baking stuff anymore.

kids are happily anticipating having this for dessert tonight. I didn't have a dbl broiler so i melted my chocolate in the mic and then mixed the other ingredients into it and nuked for 15 seconds stirred it up til everything was well blended. I thought that eating healthier like buying xylitol to be more expensive to until I realized the amt of xylitol I actually use versus how much sugar I used to buy I am actually saving money with the xylitol. You don't have the cravings for sweets as much and you use less xylitol to make things than per cup of sugar. I don't know also I had more than enuff filling left over so I froze some into little containers and the kids enjoyed pb ice cream with requests of we really need to make this again ;D

I am so glad you like it 3Angels! The best thing about Xylitol and children is it prevents tooth decay!Lets see sugar say that! :D

lol for this pie room was made :) and even my nephew who is staying for a few weeks before heading to college enjoyed the pie and cant wait til another is made lol

Umpa if I make the pie filling and then put in seperate containers and put in frezzer will it be like ice cream I dont have a ice cream machine

Yes ,but it will get hard.Take it out about 10-15 minutes before you want to eat it. ;)

Thanks Umpa Tyler loves the carb smart ice cream ,they also make it in chocolate . We have only been able to find it one time ,so he would enjoy the PB flavor . I have a hard time eating it it hurts my teeth . I eat it every once in a while .

Umpa - I don't have that one yet, I think I hit 50 posts this weekend! But I think I want to get the cookbook first because I need regular recipes more; my sweet tooth is being held over sufficiently with jello and whipped cream or strawberries and whipped cream. But trust me, I'm saving all these recipes! ;D

Beth there is no induction.You get 20 carbs a day to spend on whatever you like.You are however in the first couple of weeks in detox.(purging the sugar from your system) There are boards on that subject.So your body will tell you what it needs.All the recipes posted are fine .This is not atkins ,we don't take away foods we replace them.That way when you lose the weight there is nothing to add back to gain the weight back. You are going to do great Beth!Please feel free to contact me anytime you need help,thats what I am here for.I think the biggest problem people have with Fat to Skinny is they over-think it because their brains can't believe it is really as easy as doug says it is! ;)

Thanks umpa. I have been doing so much reading on low carbing--I think you are right, I am over-thinking. Thanks for your support and quick response. I can tell these forums are really a great resource for people trying to get off of sugar. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I am sure to be in contact as I need help! Tried just plain old zucchini in butter last night with a little garlic-yum. I have forgotton how good butter is!! :D

Carbs in coffee? I am finding different info. I drink aboutf 12 oz with 1-2 TBS low fat half and half-according to label 1 carb per tbs. Thanks-love this forum!! :o

Brewed coffee by itself (without additives) is zero (0) net carbs.
Just be careful what you may add to it!
Some instant coffees have a little carb.
Brewed is FAR better anyway! ;)

I really want to make this pie for Easter. I don't have any xylitol though. Can I use Stevia instead? Can you but xylitol in stores? If so where? Thanks!

You should be able to get xylitol at walmart or a pharmacy in the diabetes care section.

This pie makes a big hit at any party! Having a BBQ this weekend? What a great finish!
