Sit on a Florida hot/humid bus all afternoon with no a.c.!!! Drop 20 pounds in one afternoon!! Whew....forgot how hot it was down here!! I'm still in a size 12!! Of course, now that I'm working, (and more mobile!) I'm hopeing the weight will start coming off faster! I'm constantly up and down those bus stairs! And I will be doing summer school, but they will be a.c.!! Thank goodness!! But still have to get up and down a lot! To heck with it! I'm gonna see how small I can get! LoL...

:D :D When I woke up this morning at 7 am it was 90 degrees!I told doug I was gonna stay in the water all day! :D

I'm handling the heat better this year. We have very little humidity and it cools down at night to the 50s or 60s so my only complaint is no ac in my commute car. The 3 miles home from the train station in a hot car is not good.

UHG! The heat is terrible. I just wish we could get some good cleansing rain... maybe it will cool things off a bit. I am dragging my feet trying to get out the door to walk in the evenings. It was still hot and muggy at 8:30pm last night! I woke to an overcast morning...and I am grateful! lol I can totally relate Umpa, when we had a pool, there were days when my girls and I only got out to go to the bathroom or bed! :) A pool may just be our next big project. It is going to be a looooooong summer in FL.
Congrats on the new job!!

Hi Suzanne! :)
When I started taking daily walks, it was in August 2010 when I also started FTS.
I quickly learned that walks are MUCH more pleasant in the early morning hours than later.
I take my walks very early every morning after rising.
The smell of the early morning air is so good and invigorating! ;D
I'm sure glad it doesn't reach 90 early in the morning around here!

my car doesn't have ac either so I can relate :) We are on the road heading for North Carolina so at least I can get out of the water :D :D

We live in Az. and the summers here can be brutal. We are now walking for one hour in the swimming pool at our complex. i have a back problem and walking on dry land can be a challenge but in the water I can go for an hour and it helps three things. My back feels better, My cardiologist loves the exercise I am getting and the entire program is helping my weight loss (http://www.fattoskinny.com/). Loss now at 32 lbs!

Way to go, George!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Exercising in a pool is a fantastic way to exercise!
It will build strength and help you rehabilitate as well. :)

Welcome, George. Congratulations on all the changes you are making.

That is awesome George!! ;D Yes the pool is a great way to exercise :D Having arthritis makes it hard for me to move sometimes.... the pool is a life saver for me to get in some exercise not to mention a lot of fun ;)
Congrats on the 32 lbs lost ;)

32 Pounds thats great George!!! :o :o Welcome to the forum! I am Umpa,Dougs wife.I have a column on the homepage called ask umpa where I can convert your favorite foods to fat to skinny friendly. My sister lives in Phoenix and I was there visiting on year in summer and the bottom of my shoes melted off as we were walking. Then we went to the grocery store and I bought some sugarfree chocolate and before I could get to the car they were melted :D
