Crunchy BLT
« on: March 22, 2010, 05:40:20 PM »
Would you like a truly delicious and very filling BLT today?

ingredients

head of iceburg lettuce
5 strips of crispy bacon
3 slices of beefsteak tomato
mayo
slice of cheese
1 egg
salt and pepper

Fry your bacon until crispy, use turkey bacon if you wish. Here's a tip if using turkey bacon, fry it in olive oil and pepper it up. Drop an egg in the pan and pierce the yolk, or if you prefer use 1/4 cup of egg beaters. When you flip the egg drop the cheese on top cover the pan and take it off the heat. Now, gently pull away 3-4 big wrap around lettuce leaves from your head of Ice Burg. keep them all together as you peel off your "wrap". Give the lettuce a rinse and pat dry with a paper towel. Spread mayo inside your lettuce wrap and salt and pepper well. Lay your tomato, bacon  and cheesy egg inside fold it up and prepare yourself! You are going to enjoy the single best BLT you've ever eaten. You'll wonder why you ever needed bread before  :)

I use the same method for cheese burgers, Philly cheese steak sandwiches or simple ham and cheese. Try it and rate this recipe :)

I've had this MANY times and absolutely LOVE IT! ;D ;D ;D
It's great with ANY kind of bacon, ham, or pastrami.

It so SO much better than a puny, high-carb traditional BLT sandwich. ;)

I'm a bacon lover. I especially love thick heavily peppered bacon. I cook my bacon outside on a griddle on my gas grill and could eat it every day.  ::) If you've never tried this sprinkle cajun seasoning on your bacon next time you cook it for a spicy twist.

Thanks, Umpa! :)

I thought you saw that photo already when I posted a while back.

I sometimes wonder if I'd be in a casket by now, if not for FTS.
My doc was making some "loud noises" like that before I started.
FTS has made getting healthier, and feeling so much better, possible for me! ;D ;D ;D

I've thought about getting the "turkey neck" under my chin dealt with.
But since I'm retired and am not dating anymore ;) , what's the point?
I can find better uses for the money!

Sticky tape Tony  :D haha

My kids and I used to joke (in the old movie days they used to tape the skin back with tape) around about putting tape everywhere for an instant face lift.  On me of course - children are such kidders, aren't they?  yeah right

Tape?... My wife might  be able to live with that.
But a beard?... She'd have me living in the barn! :D :D :D
