Do you have any recipes for jerky that are low carb, low sodium and soy free?

Hi Jacki

Congrats on all the good things you are doing for you. Go girl!!!!

A great place to start with exercise is deep breathing and isometric exercises. These can be done anywhere, easy on the joints,  and no equipment needed.

Breathe in deeply,  all the way to your toenails  ;), blow the air out slowly emptying your lungs as much as possible. Only do a few times and then go back to your regular breathing. If you do too many and you are not use to it you can get light headed. Do several times a day. Gradually increase.

Isometrics are exercises that contract or work the muscles with little if any joint movement. Start with 3-5 repetitions,  holding for a count of 5-10. Do 2-3 times per day. A good place to start is with tummy tucks, butt cheek squeezes (glut sets), thigh squeezes (quad sets). You can do these with any muscle groups in most any position.

Also,  move your joints through their full available range of motion for 2-3 repititions 1-2 times per day.

And,  most important, think good and loving thoughts and thank your body for supporting you.

With love,

Anjelhands

Some days are like that. Some of the things that help me get through include looking at all my blessings and being grateful, saying thank you out loud for all the little things I tend to accept  & expect to be there  (sun shining, rain, warm coat, spices in the cupboard, memories - good and not so good, a friend to listen, clothes to wear, etc), knowing that I'm not in this alone, and remembering that "Worrying is praying for what you don't want."

Know you are loved, and know you are always worthy of that love.

Hi Suzanne  Here is the one I really like:

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2 TBS chia seeds
1 cup brewed black tea (or tea of your choice....flavors are endless)
Sweeten to taste.  (usually about 3-4 drops of zero or use any flavored sweeteners)
1 cup ice cubes

In a large bowl, add almond milk, chia seeds, tea, and sweetener. Stir until well combined (the longer it sits, the thicker it becomes). Add the ice and enjoy.   Makes 1 serving.

Here 's the recipe. I just throw everything into a tall blended bottle and shake.

I put the muffins on a cooling rack to let some of the grease drain off & then patted them with paper towel before freezing. I may par-bake the sausage cups and drain some of the grease next time. I don't know if my sausage was extra greasy or not. First time I used this brand. Still yummy.

Finally got around to making these. I used xylitol to sweeten. My cheddar disappeared so I did half Swiss & half Pepper Jack. Yummy!   :)

We had our Wednesday night supper /cards get together. I knew one of the gals was bringing lasanga, so I made this recipe so I wouldn't feel left out. Well, I don't have as many planned overs as I thought I would.  I also contributed chia tapioca and banana bread (it fell apart, but it was still good). My garlic bread was a broiled OMM with garlic butter. Yummmy!!!

Breads and Crackers / Re: How about Low Carb Banana Bread Yep!!!

I made the banana bread. It was delicious,  but I had to eat it with a fork. It took an extra long time to bake, and then it fell apart. Any ideas of what I may have done to mess it up?   :(
