Title: "Extra" Chewing Gum/Sugar Free
Post by: SouthCarolinaLady on January 31, 2011, 02:54:45 PM
"Extra" Chewing Gum -- especially the flavor "key Lime" is very satisfying!  I also like the Classic Bubble gum flavor.  If you need something to chew on -- try this!!!  Have a great day!

I absolutely love the key lime pie flavor...but my package says that each stick of gum is 2g. carbs...is that right!?! I mean...I don't eat it...I just chew it! Soooo, do I count 2 carbs for each stick of gum I chew!?! Kinda stopped chewing it because of that!

Thanks!

Good news! The nutritional information says that one stick of gum has 2 carbs - 2 sugar alcohol = 0 net carbs.

I think the sugar alcohols are also 2 g which zeroes it out.

So Doug,  can I chew as much EXTRA sugarless as I like and still lose pounds?  as long as I also  eat according to your methodology?

I need to lose probably about 90 pounds to get to a good weight...I have purchased all your books a few years back and have fallen off the wagon so to speak.

Thanks for the answer on the gum.  so as long as it says "sugar alcohols 2 g"....that cancels out the carbos of 2g. too?

If I chew a whole pack in a day....does that then mean that 12 pieces in a pack....24 grams of sugar alcohol cancels out 24 grams of carbohydrates? and I am chewing away with no carbohydrates to count?

Thanks....
