Can someone tell me where I can order fifty fifty products? Amazon? My grocery store wont special order anything for me the twats.
-
Beebs i wrote the book with you in mind.I wanted the instructions easy enough for you (or children)I will help you with any recipe in the book. 50/50 jellies are at walmart with the diabetic products in the pharmacy. Most grocery stores carry them too.You can use any sugarfree jam though. ;)

Beebs,if you decide to use a sugar free jam instead of zero carb Fifty50 fruit spreads make certain to count the carbs. Most all sugar free jams have carbs from the fructose. BE CAREFUL with your choices, my suggestion is to find the Fifty50
-
Im gonna brow beat my local Kroget into getting it for me lol! Apparently it's still not simple enough Umpa lol.
-
poor beebs just gonna have to keep eating your hotdogs :(
-
:D :D :D :D :D :D
-
Beebs- I have found fifty/50 products at FRESHCO. I have learned that you never give up looking for the items you want. All of a sudden what you are looking for will jump off the shelf. Make sure that you write down where you found each item. I use the inside of my book for footnotes. FYI the Fifty/50 jam is good.
-
Doug & Umpa are 2 of the most amazing people... I cant thank you enough for writing the bakery book.. Its truly a blessing for those who are diabetic and struggle with a sweet tooth...
everything looks so yummy...
-
You are welcome Alex ;)
-
Hey hey hey
-
Do we have happy KeKe today? :D
-
Do you have the book in hardcopy form or is it only downloadable?
-
Currently it's only available as a download. The printed version should be out next year.
-
Ahhh, thanks Marty and you are very welcome. Umpa and I believe that each of us has a responsibility to help our fellow man if we can.
We love our FTS family and all of you are the core foundation of our quest to continue saving and improving lives. With your help our mission will continue to grow. 8)

-
I am so impressed with your bakery book and all of the wonderful pictures. I most definately will buy it when it comes out in hard copy next year. I just love it! Thank you Doug and Umpa for all of your hard work. :)
-
Thank you Skychant! It took a year to write but it was alot of fun.Every recipe was conceived and tested in my kitchen. When I go back and look at it now,I keep it on my Nook(which you can keep all the fat to skinny ebooks on your nook),I get more ideas for new recipes. My latest is banana ,pineapple and mango flavors. Those are the three people seem to miss the most. :)
-
I'm on the West Coast. Raleys has them.
-
Hi Dpye! Welcome to the forum! :) Raleys has the sugarfree flavorings?I am Umpa ,Dougs wife if I can help you please ask.I have a column on the homepage called ask umpa where I can convert your favorite foods to fat to skinny friendly. How much weight would you like to lose? :)
-
My computer was getting destroyed in the kitchen. My nook is indestructible!Plus I always have it in my purse so its handy to have at the grocery store when i need to look up ingredients ;)
-
hey, I have a nook, how can I transfer it to my nook? via email? can we buddy up on nook? well Im into mystery.. probably not in your girls alley way..
-
In your computer you have a download file that has your books.Just upload it to your nook directly with the cord. ;)
-
Once on your Nook you can go to the recipe index and get the page number of the recipe and enter it in and go straight to that recipe. ;)
-
I do its a computer bag! I like the messenger bags too ;)
-
Wecome to the family Dpye, visit often :)

Hi Marty! :)
So you like the Oregon coast too?... That's cool! 8)
My wife and I drove down to Seaside and Cannon Beach for our first date.
She's originally from the Portland area. Her parents still live in Beaverton (suburb of Portland).
Some of the best charter boat fishing for salmon goes out of Newport.
And we've done the casino at Lincoln City MANY times!... Saw Rickky Skaggs perform there.
We LOVE the Oregon coast!
We also enjoy the Washington coast. But the Oregon coast has a special place in your hearts.
-
Ah yes!... I'd know Haystack Rock anywhere!!!
Looks like a very high tide when that pic was taken.
-
Currently it's only available as a download. The printed version should be out next year.
Do you have a publication date yet, Doug?
-
Its being shopped by our agent Rena ;) Havent found the right deal yet.Already turned down a couple.
Marty yes i have a cover and screen protector.Love my nook!
-
Hubs/Santa got me the Kindle fire for Christmas this year ;D It is a big step up from my Sony e-reader that I carried everywhere...LOL I love it....especially now that I figured out how to put the cook books on it from this post. :D Woo Hoo!! Thanks everyone.
Suz showed me a free app to add to keep all my other recipes on so I have everything at my finger tips in the kitchen or in the store shopping. The only thing I hate though is I can't seem to transfer my copy of the original FTS book from the reader....grrrrrr Where there is a will though....there is usually a way LOL ;) ;) I'm not that computer savvy
Next shopping trip will be to get a screen protector for sure... finger prints drive me nuts unless they belong to a little one :-\

Well, good luck. I'm looking forward to it. I have the eBook, but I'm such a regular book nerd ...
-
I'm such a regular book nerd ...
Me to Rena I like the smell of a book... I know weird.. LOL
-
... My poor old Kindle is on the shelf. But then I haven't had much reading time lately. :) Now that the FTS books are on the nook, it's even more indispensible!
Hi Marty! :)
This just goes to show how fast these high tech gizmos become obsolete.
Last Christmas (2010), the Kindle was all the rage... Now, it's old news and a lot cheaper.
I bought my wife one last Christmas, it has been sitting on a shelf for the past few months.
The moral... If you see some new high tech gadget you'd like to have, wait 6 months, then get it.
Usually by then, it's MUCH cheaper and/or a better alternative comes on the scene.
A piece of advice from an old, retired, computer professional... NEVER be one of the first to buy new technology!
You'll always end up paying more $$$ than you should.
-
Yeah, Tony -- when we bought our very first computer many, many, many years ago, the clerk said, "No matter what you buy, you'll always be six months behind the industry." It just moves too fast.
We're big book lovers in our house. Even my youngest will pick up a book, open it, stick his nose in and say, "Mmmm! I love how books smell!"
-
I wnat the bakery book it a hardback also !!!!
-
TooSweet do you have the ebook of the original?? :)
-
I have the e-book of the origanal but I bought it through the Sony library so it is a epub document and not compatible for Kindle to read. I think I have it figured out though and downloaded a app that will convert it. I just need to purchase a cord to hook my Kindle to my computer now...LOL Like I said where there is a will there is a way ;) Going shopping today
All my cookbooks transferred with no issues though....Love it ;D
-
No it sure doesn't Marty. Not the one that came with it anyway. :( It would have made a lot of sense for them to make it that way...lol. I guess they want to make more money :-\
-
I agree, Tony! Normally I wait for the second or third generation so all the bugs are worked out. ...
A good policy to live by, Marty! :) :) :)
Think of those "brand new on scene" gizmos as computer programs in their 1.0 release levels.
Beta testing for final bugs are left to the consumer -- PLUS -- they pay more for them!!!
-
You want me to have doug resend the file Toosweet? :)
-
Thanks Umpa I'll let you guys know. That is sweet of you ;) I just got home from Best Buy with a cord so here is crossing my fingers that it works. LOL ;D ;D Hubs wants to watch a movie so I'll give it a go in the morning. :)
-
You want me to have doug resend the file Toosweet?
I think I'm pulling my hair out with this... :-\ I was thinking I was doing something wrong but I'm thinking they are protected files....grrrrrr LOL The program says it can't convert them for me :'( If you guys wouldn't mind sending me another link I would be most grateful ;D
Marty that is what I get for trying to be smart ;D ;D ;D LOL
-
Check your email :)
-
