Post by: katary on April 29, 2010, 09:51:31 AM
:D OK.....check this out!!!!!! i got up this morning looking for something sweet to go with my black coffee...what a conundrum...what would i do?????  here is what i did>>>poured some pork rinds in a bowl, drizzled them in maple syrup, sprinkled them with almond flour/meal,popped them in the oven until they got crispy, let them cool.....need i say more?????
ya ever been to a festival and gotten one of those waffles???? that's what it tasted like!!!!!!!>>>>pork rinds=0carbs>sugar free maple syrup=0carbs,and i just sprinkled a couple tspns of almond meal over the whole shebang i gotta think <1carb for the whole thing!!!!

That sounds delish!

I found this recipe for zero carb maple syrup.I haven't tried it but it seems like it would be great.

Ingredients
•   1/2 cup water
•   1/2 cup unsalted butter
•   1 package plain jello
•   1/2. tsp vanilla extract
•   1 tsp. maple extract
•   Sugar free sweetener to taste
Instructions
1.   Bring water and butter to a boil
2.   Add gelatin and stir until dissolved
3.   Remove from heat
4.   Add extracts and sweetener

well i despise jelly beans :'( so i didnt even look for them,i did see a low carb cake ice cream cone there...it was 3 carbs per cone, but i didnt buy them, found a carb free peanut butter, and a few other things i can use to experiment with:) >>> loved the free samples**lots of cheese and meats:) got a free lunch out of it and fell hard for a certain olive!

Gary, question.

I thought chicken was 0 net carbs, yet on this recipe you have 2.5 carbs for a chicken breast?

Confused again,
Linda
