I'v concluded 4 radio interviews this week and I've challenged Paula Deen during all of them!

I pulled up this post for an update on the Paula Deen story.  I was in the checkout line at Walmart yesterday. . .

You all know where this is going, I'm sure.  The Paula Deen headline on the National Enquirer caught my attention.  I couldn't find the article fast enough so I had to BUY it!  Apparently Paula has lied about how she actually lost the 30 pounds she's shed since the diabetes revelation.  Drum roll, please, she's actually been eating LOW CARB!

The article slammed her for continuing a high fat diet and, very inaccurately stated that high fat diets cause diabetes and that people just aren't capable of cutting sugar and carbs out of their diets permanently. 

I'm not sure what we do with this info, but I guess I never looked to the National Enquirer for truth anyway.

PS  Lots about Tom and Katie that I don't care about either.

The National Enquirer... KING of the Tabloid (Malarkey) press!

They're good at taking a kernel of truth, and turning it into a bushel of BS.
Of course, everyone looks to them for real healthcare tips... Ya, Sure, You Betcha! :D :D :D

As far as what to do with the info you got from them, give it it's proper place and line your bird cage with it.
It's too bad you had to spend your hard earned money to find out what they had to say about Paula.

I suspected she'd gone low carb so it was worth the $ to see that in print.  I took it as a win for the low carb side of the fence.

She gave a sample of her new daily personal menus in People magazine....and it is BLACK AND WHITE low carb. That being said... be gentle on her Doug... I love her. :D  She is on this road right along with us and trying to spin her new lifestyle without losing her HUGE fan base.

Hey Umpa! I have a question fo ya!! I am vacationing near Alabama and have found a place that sells Pecan Meal for $2.99 per pound. Is it as good as Almond meal? Because if it is...that is a sweet deal for future baking, I may need to stock up! Thanks!!

Yes Suzanne just measure it.You can also mix it with other flours.I do that with hazelnut ;)
