Chicken Chips

1. Preheat oven to 375°
2. Take any and all chicken skins you have on hand - chunks of chicken fat will work, too - spread out flat on the broiler rack.
3. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until they get brown and crunchy.  Sprinkle with salt and eat like chips.

No carbs here at all!

I use a cookie cooling rack over a cookie sheet in the oven/broiler... to catch any drips.  Also I use 'lite' salt.  So good you'll want some every day but probably once a week would be better ??

Do they crisp up or are they chewy?I am curious now....
It depends on how long you leave them in the oven... The longer you leave them in the crispier they get. Ovens vary in temp so you have to adjust the time for your oven and preference.

So what exactly are we baking? Im not sure I understand. Do I need adult supervision for this?

Once in a while I crave something crunchy...like potato chips... This is a great alternative and tastes better than pork rinds.

When I crave chips, I make Doug's recipe for the cheese crisps OR I use jicama and slice it thin and fry it like chips. My kids like it better than regular chips.

I read this at work. Thought what a great idea. I sliced one jicama with the intention of saving some for lunch tomarrow. ::) They tasted so good I ate the whole thing OMG I now have a new favorite. It was fast to didn't have to boil boil boil boil  ;D Yum Yum. Did I say I liked em? ::)
