Being Sick and FTS
« on: November 18, 2010, 09:47:42 AM »
I have a nasty cold, given to me by my lovely son. I feel awful and I was wondering what other peoples experience was with FTS was while sick.  Did you lose weight during it or is it one of those things where my body is fighting the illness thus not letting me loose anything?

Sherripie,
Kids are always so good at sharing  ;D  Dang look at all the weight you have lost. I was going to ask for your advice. Great pic! Take extra vit C and stay warm.
And if I claim to be a wise man. It surely means that I don't know... Kansas

Do you have Buckleys cough mixture in the US?  It is sugar free, alcohol free and is made from the oil of pine needles, camphor, menthol, and Canada balsam.  I think it's the wonder-cure.  It tastes like strong liquid Vicks Vapo-rub and I think it scares the cold germs out of you.  Hope you feel better soon.

FTS chicken noodle soup is always good. Canned chicken chicken broth and miracle noodles. I also like the samis slim trim lavash with butter when Im not feeling well! Also vitamin C is very good for you!

I almost made a huge mistake last night. This cold is kicking my butt so I went to take NyQuil like I did before FTS. When I went to drink it I jokingly said to my husband that I wondered how many carbs are in it. He then gave me that look like "ya know maybe you should check." So I decided to wait and check the internet before I took it. The only thing I could find were people saying there were 19+ carbs in a single dose and others saying that one dose kicked them out of ketosis. Needless to say I didn't take NyQuil last night.
