hi doug and umpa,

we were wondering if we can buy the hard cover cookbook of yours?
we saw the e-book that we could purchase of the cookbook online last night.
do you have any of the hard cover cookbooks of yours in print today?
if so how do we go about getting one?

by the way we read some of your articles last night doug: how skinny is too skinny.
God's mission for you.  and the top ten "healthy foods".  doug, you are a excellent writer!

Lean On My Shoulder / buddy and christina needs help

hi doug,
we've heard people say on the internet that if we eat less than 1,200 calories a day that our body will lose weight slower because it thinks we are in a famine.  is this true?  the last two days we've been eating around 800 calories each.  yes we've been hungry between meals, but we dealt with it because we thought that our metabolism is burning our food faster with us thinking it will cause us to lose weight even faster.
you lost 100 pounds in near 100 days or so.  we want to do the same and lose 1 pound a day apiece. what do you suggest that we do?  if it was 1,200 calories a day than that would be a 300 calorie breakfast, 100 calorie snack, 300 calorie lunch, 100 calorie snack, 300 calorie dinner, 100 calorie snack.  doug, as you lost the weight did you lower your calorie intake at all?
do you suggest weighing our foods to make sure its in the correct calorie count?
we do eat or drink a protein shake 6 times a day eating every 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
also what do we do to not get the "excess skin sag" from losing weight quickly?  is there a secret?
buddy walks all day at work as a waiter at a restaurant. Christina walks around inside the house and jogs in place for 10-20 minutes every day.
yes, we've been drinking tons of water and keeping our carb count below 20 carbs /day.
in the last 3 days Christina  lost 3 pounds and buddy lost 1 pound.

fts works! thanks doug and umpa!
we traded our big dinner plates for little dessert plates to eat our meals on.
we switched from 3 big meals a day to 5 meals a day like fts says.
we use little dessert spoons to eat with instead of soup spoons.
we bullet proof our fridge and freezer to the fts way.
the pantry, we need to bag up the carb/sugar stuff and give it away to a local mission.
buddy walks all day at work at a restaurant.  Christina walks 10 minutes inside the house for starters, around and around the house.
used to have a rebounder trampoline but buddy was afraid Christina would hurt her knee or ankle.
Christina drinks 22 eight ounce cups of water a day, half her body weight.  buddy drinks 14. we feel like were floating.
we put the salt shaker in the kitchen cupboard instead of on the table.  we use pepper instead.
in the last 3 weeks as of today we lost 10 pounds apiece. but we didn't make these changes till a week ago.
we would have lost much more weight if we started fts right away.
our goal is to lose 100 pounds for Christina in the next 6 months and for buddy 50 pounds in 3 months.
this past Tuesday we had a cheat day and that really hurt our weight loss and so we wont do that again.
what we will do is just pick a fts dessert and eat that, something on the fts menu in doug's and umpa's book.
we use the George Forman inside counter grill to cook our chicken and ground turkey on.  easy and less mess and time.
we know we can do it the fts way because it works!    no looking back at the past and no regrets.
Christina fits a pair of jeans today that she couldn't 10 lbs. ago.  buddy's work clothes are much looser and his belt tighter.
we also go on the internet and look up weight loss success before and after videos and photos to help with motivation.
what we found is the number one thing people eat is lean chicken and greens, over and again.

hi doug!  buddy met you at the florida state fair in 2009.  we tried your program a few times but gave up because we wanted to eat the carbs/sugar and we settled for our heavy weight, life as obese.  but now we are determined to lose this weight.  we started near 3 weeks ago on may 17, 2013.  since then we have lost 9 pounds each.  5 lbs. because it was our first week of plain dieting and we just ate less.  and 4 pounds now because we started your program fts.  our second week we lost nothing b/c of eating too much carbs/sugar.  buddy started at 231 lbs. and Christina started at 348 lbs.  buddy is 41 and Christina is 35 years old.  both of our goals is to be 170 lbs.  I am so glad that we are doing this together because it is so much easier.  we are learning to cook with your recipes.  thanks doug for your book,  it was very easy to understand, it made perfect sense to us.  you and your wife are very inspiring to us and we like the youtube videos that you have done.  we hope to meet you again and this time at our healthy weight.
