Can't wait to make this, and may try Strawberries since my family loves Strawberries!
-
It didn't get crusty, though. I wonder if almond milk would work better than heavy cream in the recipe.
-
Holy Moly! I can't wait to get to NC, Umpa and I pick fresh berries all summer long, this is going to be soooo good with Umpa's blackberry sorbet on top ;D
-
Heavy cream has 0g carbs. I thing almond milk has a few carbs. This sure sounds good.
-
Almond milk has 1 carb for 8oz. Unsweetened of course.
-
I can't wait to try this recipe. Love blackberries. I have all the ingredients except the almond flour.
-
Paula you can make it.Just grind the nuts of your choice almond, pecan, walnut, etc. On the homepage there are about 5 pages of recipes in the Recipe section.

This was awesome! I used half a cup of heavy cream so it didn't turn out so soggy and put the melted butter in the flour mix instead of the berries (i used Pam first though). I also mixed the berries with a half cup of xylitol and put the other half cup in the flour mix and added a bit of salt. Delicious!!
-
That sounds so much better! Thanks for fixing it! I'll try it again this week.
-
I've found that when you try and make a low carb replica recipe that requires flour, you have to treat almond meal differently. It doesn't soak up as much liquid and doesn't rise as much either. It works great with butter when you're using it for pie crusts though!

;D Jess I was just on the phone with Ray as he was eating his last bite! He loved it.
-
I made this today with strawberries and I made the changes that zuiderdamm made to it and it was very Delish ! The only thing I might do different is a little less sweetner .
Everything is so sweet to me my taste have really changed . Was yalls a little runny ,or was it because I used strawberries ? I am going to do blackberry or blueberry next time .
Tyler & hubby even liked it ! Thanks Donna for the recipe !
-
Strawberries have alot of liquid Jo.I reduce them on the stovetop in a saucepan before i use them to bake. ;)
-
Thanks Umpa !
-
You can cut the Almond flour carbs in half by using Bobs Redmill "Unblanched" almond flour ;)
-
Oh I did ,I used Now so it was only 6 carbs for the flour !!
-
This cobbler is wonderful and so easy! Yum!
-
I need to try this!! Maybe when I get back from my trip....LOL I don't want to have to many sweets around to tempt me ;) I keep forgetting that we can have the berries. It will make a nice change.
-
It is good toosweet just use fresh berries . When you use frozen & thaw them out they just have to much liquid .
-
Thanks Jo I will. I was just looking at the berries the last time I was in the store thinking that they looked so good...LOL I will be sure and buy the fresh.
-
This is a great Sunday dinner dessert recipe...DELISH!! and Low Carb, you can change it up easily by using Raspberries, Strawberries or a mixture of berries....Don't forget the whipped cream! 8)

This weekend I made the blackberry nut (cobbler or cake - I forget the full correct name) with the cinnemon/nutmeg stressell (sp) on top from your bakery book Doug - Oh my goodness - to die for. I don't have Zero but used Xylitol instead - just a little bit of it - as I don't like really sweet goodies anymore. I will try the recipe here, too - as it sounds wonderful. Thank you all for sharing.

This recipe is VERY good, Ellie! :) :) :)
I'm sure you'll love it!

Hi, Umpa! :)
I've played at a few honky tonk venues in my day.
As the evenings wear on, the crowds get drunker and rowdier.
I remember playing at the Palomino Club in North Hollywood.
It was not uncommon for beer bottles to start flying around midnight.
Gotta be at least little tough to play in those joints.

Wow! Awesome Tony and Umpa. Amazing!
-
You always suprise me Tony! What instrument did you play? 8)
-
Hi, Umpa! :)
Hmm... I thought I told you about this before. Maybe I'm slipping (again). ;)
I was lead singer and played rhythm guitar.
Also on occasion, played bass guitar and the drums.

Hi, Umpa! :)
I gave up jam many years ago... Into jelly these days. :D :D :D
But to answer your question, no, I let it all go decades ago.
My band broke up after a very devastating event.
Then, life got too busy with other things (like making a real living to support a growing family).
I sold my Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, Rickenbacker 12-string electric, Martin acoustic guitar, amps, and other gear.
But still have my Gibson J50 acoustic. I keep it around for sentimental reasons.
I just can't bring myself to tune it up and play it.

Maybe its time :)

Maybe its time :)
Maybe someday... Maybe never.
If something happens in my life to wake it up, I just might. ;)

I do hope something inspires you to play again Tony.
