Title: brakfast on the go
Post by: mommataz on February 05, 2015, 09:43:50 AM
hello umpa,
my husband and I get at 3:30am every morning to go to work.  there is no time to cook breakfast. I can not eat any more eggs, so what else is there to eat that can be cooked the night before? keep in mind that we don't like to cook if we can help it. lol so just simple meals on the go.
thank you
Tammy

Hi Tammy, welcome to the family! I get it....no more eggs! :) I love to mix it up and eat all kinds of our FTS friendly foods. This keeps life and your menu interesting. Pancakes would be a wonderful choice here. You can make a bunch and freeze them. pop them in the toaster oven and WAM, no fuss no muss. Another great choice is cheese toast. We have several great recipes for low carb breads here on the forum and making a loaf in advance and slicing/freezing is a good option. This way you can whip up some french toast in just a few minutes.

To see recipe ideas go to the home page and type what you're looking for into the search box to the upper right of your page.

Welcome to the FTS family, Tammy!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

There have been a number of other very busy folks that managed to successfully adjust to the FTS lifestyle.

Doug has pointed you toward some great recipes.
The trick to making this work is taking a day (once a week or so) to prepare and freeze meal servings.

Although I'm retired and not as busy as I used to be, I have made the microwave my best friend.
There are so many other things to do in life besides standing over a stove. ;)

Tony
