« on: April 10, 2011, 07:18:41 PM »
Umpa, I have a recipe that calls for 2 Tbsp of flour for thickening, what would I use to replace it?  As soon as you let me know I will post it, it's FANTASTIC!! ;D ;D

Beebs is right zantham gum!But alittle goes a long way .Start with 1/4 teaspoons until you get the thickness you want.It also keeps ice cream from getting hard when you make it homemade. ;)

You put the flour into the recipe and bake it, and it thickens while it bakes so I can"t add a little at a time.  Should I just do 1/4 teaspoon and call it good? ???
