Title: You made my 13 yr. old niece smile
Post by: 3angels on August 17, 2010, 02:23:58 PM
We tell my niece all the time how you can tell she has slimmed down with the new fts lifestyle but, this weekend her younger cousin complimented her on her weight loss (http://www.fattoskinny.com/) and said she looked skinny and great and my niece was beaming with happiness.  It's hard as an adult to change their lifestyle but even harder as a child when your friends eat pizza, go to McDonald's etc and I tell her everyday how happy and proud of her I am but, to hear that from her cousin who she doesn't see much meant so much to her and made her prouder of the better choices she has been making in her life.  And, my dad who was so skeptical of this lifestyle change told me thank you for making me healthier and he is actually looking forward to his upcoming doctor visit to see where his sugar levels are at as he is borderline diabetic.  So, tysvm Doug for bringing out this life saving book and Sherry for your wonderful recipes and support.

It breaks my heart to see so many over-weight people and children.  They are limiting their activities, increasing their health problems, lowering their years of life and denying themselves of a much higher level of happiness.  Thanks, again, Doug and Umpa for helping us find this FTS program and changing the way we look at food and use food.  Have a great, blessed day!

I think this is the first summer when they've spent most of it outdoors
