oops went over my 20g carbs.... what to do?

I didn't realize that my berries in my protein shake were so high in carbs and I've gone over my total for the day by 2.4 and I'll probably still need a snack before bed.

Oh dear.  Does this ever happen to any of you?

I have a tendency to want to be perfect and if I don't stick to the plan 100% I get discouraged and give up and I DON'T INTEND on doing this. 

Does it make sense to keep my carbs lower tomorrow to balance it out?

Suggestions please.... still learning

Nic you should keep your carbs as low as possible every day, I find it difficult to reach 20 most days. It's great that you are now starting to spot your hidden sugars!  ;)

I'd say skip the snack before bedtime. Drink a lot of water leading up to the time you WOULD HAVE enjoyed your snack and maybe you won't be craving it as much.

NEED a snack:( really???  i'm with doug>> i very seldom, if ever come close to using 20 carbs on any given day... if anything cant you come up with a snack that doesnt contain carbs????
