FAT TO SKINNY book typo
« on: April 08, 2010, 04:07:57 PM »
Page 42 says the Chicken McNuggets contain 12.75 tsps of sugar. at the top of page 44, it says the Root Beer has 12.75 tsps of sugar. the 2nd paragraph says the two items contain a total of 63 tsps of sugar. It's a typo, it looks like we added the net carbs of one item with the teaspoons of sugar to another item.

It should be a total of 24.75 teaspoons of sugar not 63 teaspoons of sugar.

Pg 82 has a Sample Label giving Total Carbs:  24g; Fiber: 6g, Sugar: 5g and Sugar Alcohol's: 10g.

The equation reads:

Carbs (24) - [Fiber (6) + Sugar Alcohols: (10)] = 8.

It should read;

Carbs (24) - [Fiber (6) - Sugar Alcohols: (10)] = 8.

Being the math teacher that I am, I have to tell you that your first equation is actually correct. You would do what is in the parentheses first (add the fibers and the sugar alcohols) and then subtract that total from the carbs. Your second equation would have you ADD the sugar alcohols (distributive property!)......I don't think what you thought was a typo was a typo.

Hi Jo! :)

Which book are you looking at?
There are no "toppings" on page 153 of Doug's Little Yellow Book (his first).

My eBook shows... ½ cup unblanched almond flour not all purpose flour.

Try re-downloading the eBook.
If you lost the link, email Doug and ask or another. :)

I didn't read too much of the Library book I have It is open now and then also.  I look in the book enough to have lost 25 pounds I don't eat anything but salad cheese and chicken, I just got started on the fruits. Or berries.  I am not sure how long this will last without being mindfule of what I eat.  Does anyone have any real advice about the binge. Because THe book doesn't say you will want the Sugar you must stop eating?!
I WARN YOU I AM SO SICK AROUND FOOD AND I NEVER CAN GAIN MY CONSCIOUSNESS AROUND IT.  i START THE PROGRAM TOMORROW

Hello Square1ate! :)

Congrats on losing 25 pounds!!! :) :) :)

It's important that you read ALL of Doug's book.
Every part of it has a purpose that will help you succeed at weight loss.

The fist half of it is informational.
The second half is recipes (except toward the very end).

I take it your book was checked out of a library.
I would strongly suggest that you buy you own copy.
This book can be read over and over. Each time providing something new.
It's the bible of FTS!
I've read my copy at least 10 times!!! ;)
What you do today is what matters!
