Weeks 9,10,11 & 12 - Scales Not Important
« on: July 16, 2012, 08:51:59 PM »
Just reporting in my last month's progress -

fanfare please - 3lbs released into the universe to find another home -  ;D

I have been hopping on and off the scales during the month, it's been up and down a bit.  I was thinking this morning if I could actually put my scales in hiding for a complete month and only check when my monthly weigh comes due.
I've decided to do it - I'm going to slip my scales on top of a hall cupboard - to retrieve I will actually have to drag a ladder down the corridor and get them - far to lazy to go to the bother unless I'm desparate.  lol

See you in a month's time.    ;)

That's a great idea Morgan!  That pesky box sure can reek havoc with our emotions  :-\  I've gotten where I only weigh myself once or twice a month now.  It feels so much better not to worry about the number  8)

Way to go, Morgan!!! :) :) :) :)

When you think about it, how often did you weigh yourself before FTS while you were gaining weight?
My bet is, not very often.
Why?... The scale can mess with your mind and make you unhappy.

So if you (or anyone else) finds that the scale makes you feel blue... Hide the darned thing in the attic, garage rafters, or anywhere that is VERY inconvenient.
Then, go ahead and enjoy your life every day, sticking to the FTS rules, and repairing damage to your body from years of carb overdosing.
What you do today is what matters!

I need to start following this tip because I am guilty of getting on the scale way too much and the number on the scale dictates my behavior or mood for the day ... good or bad .... i need to work on this .... thanks for the idea : )

Good Plan! Can't wait to see what the month brings. I haven't weighed in over two weeks. It's kind of liberating. *husg*

It's been a week and a half since I put the scales on top of the cupboard and I been twitching to get them down.  Can't reach on tippy toes, no matter how I stretch and (boy do I know myself) I can't be bothered dragging the ladder down the corridor, setting it up and then having to put it back.  So they still there. lol  ;D

Way to go Morgan!  I was weighing every day, but I have gone almost 2 weeks now without stepping on that hateful thing.  It sure takes alot of stress out of life.   :D
