Title: Choclate treats
Post by: beebs on March 08, 2010, 03:18:41 PM
I wanted to have some kinda candy because Im a choco-holic. So I used 2 packages of sugar free bakers chocolate 2 cups splenda I melted it down smoothed a  thin layer of smuckers natural peanut butter between. very simple. It still has a slightly bitter taste that Im not entirely sure how to eliminate. I am going to try a few things to get rid of that. I will post updates when I find out how it works.

Try using Xylitol instead of Splenda to sweeten it up a bit more. That should eliminate some of the bitter flavor, You can buy it at Swanson. Have you tried the sugar free Russel Stover or Hershey's Chocolate? It's very good and sweetened with Malitol.

After I added some sweet N low and almond mil it did get a fudgy texture. I just added a splash of almond milk. The mix changed and kinda sucked up and got a little dry immediately after but I just took it off the stove and spread it immediately and it turned out great. So as follows the recipe is 2 bars of unsweetened bakers choclate 2 cups splenda 10 packs of sweet N low 2 pats of real butter and a splash of almond milk. you have to melt the choco slowly or it will burn. After it cools I cut it into 1inch squares.
