Dinner Recipes / Paula D's Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf
« on: November 10, 2011, 10:21:07 AM »
:D  Well, I'm a burger fan, and really enjoy my meatloaf too!  Here's Paula's recipe for BC Meatloaf.  I just left out the bread crumbs, and didn't use but about 5 pieces of bacon....and of course, used pork rinds to put on top for the crunch! It was super good...

General Questions / Sugar free mocha at Starbucks
« on: November 05, 2011, 08:43:48 PM »
Hmmm, I love the SF Skinny Mocha at Starbucks, but don't like the 14 grams of carb that come with it.
Can't I order a regular coffee with just a shot of the SF Mocha syrup in it? Then add a bit of heavy cream. That would certainly take out the sugar/carbs from the milk in the drink. Is this right?  Hope so, cuz I'm sipping a decaf with SF Mocha syrup in it right now.... ;D

General Discussion / Doubling a recipe

Hey you Guys!
I'm heading to a breakfast party this weekend and want to take the sausage quiche that I saw the recipe for under the breakfast items.  I've made a zillion times at home, but wonder if I double the recipe will the cooking time vary much?  I thought about just putting it into two containers instead of one big one.
Any ideas? Thank you!  ;D

Oops sorry about that!  Yes Shawn is right.  I use one pound of sausage!

Sausage balls are one of my favorite guilty pleasures...especially around the holidays!  Here is what I did to make them lower carb.  They are soooooo yummy!!!

1 block Cracker Barrel Extra Sharp Cheddar
1 Chub breakfast sausage ( I use mild, but spicy is good too!)
1 Cup Almond Flour
1 3/4 Cup Flax Flour

Preheat over to 350

Over low/medium heat melt cheese, then turn off heat, and add sausage.  Mix well.
Pour sausage/cheese mix into large mixing bowl, add almond and flax flour slowly while combining. I usually have to use my hands to make it mix well.
Roll pieces of dough into little balls, and place on parchment lined baking sheet.  Don't worry of they are almost touching, the dough doesn't rise much in the oven.
Bake about 25 minutes.

Careful pulling them out of the oven, the tray will be super greasy.
Serve hot or at room temp.  THey are still tasty reheated in the microwave!
Enjoy!! ;D
