I find it amazing that so many docs are so ignorant of how we metabolize carbs and its effects.
What's even worse, is that some don't seem to want to learn. People of science should not behave that way.

It sounds like your doctor is starting to understand the benefits of a low carb lifestyle.
That's great!... Hopefully, she's now learning and will pass this along to other patients.

You and Tyler are in my prayers about his driving.
I remember all too well... Going through this with each of my three kids makes it hard to forget.
But the Lord is watching over him and you!

Ok Tyler never was really heavy but while FTS can not cure TYPE 1 Diabetes it can get their Blood Sugar under control and use a lot less man made insulin . Controling his Blood Sugar was our goal for him but he did lose  10 pounds and now wears a 32 inch waist !!!
His waist is really 30 but he needs 32 for his but !!!
And his A!C is 6.1 almost unheard of with Type 1 teenagers !!!
 The first pic I cut his head off put you can reallly see how big his pants are & how thin he is in that one . So then I just put another up so you can see how cute my baby is !!!

Thanks guys he said he always wanted to hold his pants like that for a picture . All the diet commercials he has seen on tv all his life !!!!

I am very pround of him now that he is working and has a car he could eat bad food but he likes feeling good !!!

He is probably smart enough to know what insulin cost.He will save alot of money eating right. You should be very proud ;D
