General Discussion / Eliminate Purified Water
« on: May 31, 2014, 07:59:32 AM »
Hello everyone. I hope you all are doing good. It's good to be back! I've officially eliminated purified water and bottled water from my lifestyle because of health reasons and how it was making my body highly acidic. I advise anyone drinking purified water to stop and do your research as it strips minerals from the body and does many other harmful things. Plus the spring water in my local neighborhood was making me real sick from arsenic poisoning and other contaminants. From now on I will be drinking filtered tap water. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best water filter or any other recommendations?

General Discussion / Too much Meat
« on: December 10, 2012, 03:49:42 PM »
I have question, can eating too much meat protein or just too much protein in general cause a weight loss plateau or even weight gain on a low carb lifestyle?  Last week I cut back on the my meat intake  and lost 7 pounds. I use to eat large quantities of meat in every single meal and even snack on it in between meals. I know some of the meat I was eating was cured with salt and sugar, so that' my fault. Maybe I need to cut back even more on the steaks and pork chops in my meals. Or maybe some of the meat I was eating had steriods & growth hormones and wasn't natural.

General Discussion / Deception!
« on: November 15, 2011, 09:11:01 AM »
My weight loss was stalled for about a week and half and I'm used to losing 5 or more pounds a week nowadays since cutting caffiene, so I was so frustrated. I realized now that it was Purnell's Sausage Patties. Even though they have zero carbs with two patties per serving, I looked and read that it had Sugar as its main ingredient. Could some products they have no carbs that contain sugar lie about the carb count? I've been eating these patties on and off for the past 5 months and I'm just now(This morning for Breakfast) realizing it stalled or slowed my weight loss. I could have loss way more weight, probably 30 extra pounds in the 5 month span without eating those patties.  :( >:( Please Read your ingredients! I feel these manufacturers are trying to con!

General Discussion / I need a new Driver's License Picture
« on: October 18, 2011, 01:13:23 PM »
A few days ago I went to pawn some jewelery and I needed my ID. So I gave the lady my Driver's License and she didn't believe it was me because of how thinner my face is now, she was in awe. Then last night I went to get some wine for my cousin and the man said jokingly I was trying to fraud him with someone esle's license because he just didn't believe it was me. I had to tell them both I lost alot of weight. I look like a completely different women because my face was really fat. I'm almost half way to my goal. I just can't believe the difference when I have over 75 more pounds to lose. I can't change my picture in the state of Illinois until the expiration date of 2014. I don't want to be stuck with this picture for 3 years. When I start losing more weight no one is going to believe it's me in that picture.

« on: August 16, 2011, 01:59:07 PM »
Hey Umpa! Besides using Wyler's Light or Crystal Light I wanted to know if their was a way to make Lemonade without sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners like Aspartame? I could probably use Stevia with lemons or lemon juice, right? :)

General Discussion / low fat/low calorie obsession
« on: July 20, 2011, 01:57:03 PM »
There's this show called Cook Yourself Thin that comes on Lifetime and I'm just watching how these skinny ladies cook all this food which they say is low in calories and fat but the food is loaded with High Carbs and Sugar. It just really frustrates me when Thin people who never struggled with their weight try to tell others who have a weight problem how they should lose weight. I Really Hate it. It gets under my skin so much you just don't know. These were the kind of people I would listen to before I heard of Doug to try to lose the pounds but it always failed.

I went to the doctor the other day and my doctor noticed I lose alot weight since my last visit 6 months ago. So I lied to her and told her I was on a plateau and couldn't lose anymore weight, just to see what she would recommend for me to breakthough(Mind you I'm losing about 5 to 6 pounds a week on average). As usual the skinny Doctor recommended a low fat, low calorie diet full of fruit, starchy vegetables, high carb meals like Oatmeal, Cream of wheat and whole grain pasta and cereal. You know the foods that made me fat in the first place and she knows I have a family history of diabetes. I'm serious getting a new doctor. I'm done with her! If I had eaten her diet and meal plan I would gain all my weight back and then some This situation has made me mad for the last two days and I had to tell someone! I'm just in a bad mood!!(End of Rant)

Ask Umpa / MilkShakes
« on: April 20, 2011, 04:14:24 PM »
Hello Umpa. :) I want a Vanilla, Strawberry or Chocolate Milkshake so bad. But it's filled with so mush Sugar.  :(
I used to buy it from Burger King or White Castle but things have really really changed!
People usually make Their favorite Milkshakes by using Vanilla Ice cream, Milk, Chocolate Syrup if it's a Chocolate Shake or Strawberries if it's a Strawberry Shake. Is there a way to convert this to the FTS way or a different Alternative. Please Help me Umpa! My craving for Milkshakes is driving me mad!  :-[
