I am old enough to remember when type II diabetes was called "sugar diabetes".

I find it astounding that even so many years ago, medical science recognized the cause but did little to nothing to directly address it.
Who wants to spend the rest of their life taking medications like Metformin (which is hard on the liver) or insulin shots,
when all that need be done is limit net carbs in the food choices?
