End of 8th Week Weigh-In
« on: July 09, 2012, 03:07:43 PM »
I lost 1.4 pounds weighing in at 239.2 for a total of 35 pounds.  I was initially disappointed with only 1.4 pounds lost this week, but then slapped myself back into reality.  Any loss is a good loss at this point.  Thanks for all of the support.

Chris

Chris,
A week of working with FTS and feeling better is a success.  weight loss is a BONUS and yes, pat yourself on the back.  You've made major changes that you should be proud of.

Chris as we shrink one of the things we all need to do is have an understanding of how much or how little food we truly NEED on a daily basis. Have you focused in on your portions and number of times you eat daily? You may find after running the 3 day "get in touch with your true hunger test" and implementing the 15 minute rule that your simply eating to much food.  ;)

Doug makes an excellent point, Chris. :)
The larger our bodies are, the more energy is required to just stay alive.

As we lose weight (and body volume), energy requirements also decrease.
A decrease in energy requirements should be coupled with a decrease in the amount of food we eat.

Before we started FTS, we were almost completely out of touch with our bodies' energy needs.
That's how we got FAT! :o

For this reason, we should take Doug's "15 Minute Hunger Test" from time to time.
It helps us stay "in touch" with our bodies' true energy needs.
What you do today is what matters!
