Title: Fave Lunch
Post by: jacksprattswife on November 14, 2010, 11:59:21 PM
My current favorite lunch is a simple Ceasar salad with added chicken.  I can throw it together at home ( I buy ready cooked chicken to keep handy) or order eat at most restaurants if I am out for lunch.

I like to have dessert too.  Uusally berries or a sugar free pudding of some type.  I think I am eating too much of the artificially sweetened  stuff though just lately.  Natural is better eg. strawberries.

Most sugar free pudding is very high in carbs, check the label and let me know what you discover.

This is what I've been eating.  The trouble is it tastes so good sometimes I have two!

Mousse Temptations by Jello:
Total carbs 10 grams
Sugar Alcohol 6 grams
No fiber as such

Thats 4 carbs per dessert so times 2 is 8 carbs just for dessert.Thats almost half your carb intake for the entire day.You are setting yourself up to fail. ;)

JSW - I had to stop buying them for that reason. They are soooo small and I was eating them with a baby spoon to make them last.  Doug suggested the FTS SF Strawberry jello with whipping cream (see recipe videos) much better to satisfy the sweet tooth! Maybe give it a try?

Sigh -- I miss pudding!  :(

We do, however, have a package of sugar-free chocolate pudding by Dixie Diners. It came in a sampler pack we got for Christmas. Says it makes 5 servings with 1 net carb. I can't wait to try it. Has anyone else tried it?

I made a chocolate mousse this morning using 0 carb heavy whipping cream and WF sf chocolate dip and it tasted great.  Thanks umpa!!  This will be a great substitute for the sf candy with sugar alcohols.

Katary's "nogurt" has a similar consistency to pudding too.  You can flavor the base any way you like it!  I am going to make chocolate today using WF syrup and add some fresh berries yummy. :o
