I just made some of these cookies with walnuts and a couple of SF Hershey's Dark Chocolate bars (both chopped). Yum! They were a little harder to roll this time, so I just pressed them into a spoon and placed them on the cookie sheet that way. You still have to press them down a bit before you bake them. But seriously ... YUM! Tastes to me just like an oatmeal cookie with chocolate & walnuts!

I'll do that next time. This batch isn't going to last too long. These are a lot harder to resist. Great. Just what I needed, huh?

There goes your mother of the year award, Rena.  Now you can relax for the rest of the year and try again in 2013.  It takes the pressure off.

Hahaha! I gave up my Mother-of-the-Year award years ago! ;D

Seriously, I have the weirdest, pickiest kids ever. I can't even get Neil to eat a peanut butter sandwich, more or less something I make for myself. Nathan tries more things. He really likes Umpa's PB Cups. He's even had my SF maple syrup when we ran out of his. Neil, on the other hand, is super picky. The other 3 grew out of it, so I have faith Neil will too.

I grew up in a household with a very sarcastic father and we quickly learned to have a comeback ready to deflect the shots coming our way.  I don't recommend that as a good parenting strategy.  I tried to temper it in my own family but it still bleeds through.

Just made a batch of these again, but added a teaspoon of ginger to them also. Mmm!

LOL @ coming from sarcastic families. My mom was very sarcastic too, so I guess that's where I get it from.
