This link is for "Cauliflower Popcorn."  I haven't tried this myself but it's a suggestion.

I have to say that pop corn is the one thing I do miss if I were to be honest  :'(  Hubs loves to get some when we go to the movies (which we do quite often) but I'm pretty satisfied with a handful of nuts.  If you sprinkle a little pop corn seasonings on them they are pretty good.  I also love to take a single serve package of sunflower seeds.  They have different flavors and it takes longer to shell and eat them.  It takes my mind off of wanting the real thing even if a little   :)

I agree, Shawn! :)
Real popcorn is tough to replace.

The smell of popcorn in the movie theaters is almost overwhelming.
That's why I will eat a meal right before heading to the movies. And I'll bring along a few LC snacks, just in case.
Being full and satisfied makes it sooooo much easier to ignore temptation.

I've tried Doug's suggestion with pumpkin seeds.
Raw seeds buttered and seasoned with popcorn seasoned salt is yummy! ;D ;D ;D

If you use the special popcorn oil, it is even more like popcorn.

That sounds really good, Andrea! :) :) :)

What brand & flavor popcorn oil do you use?
If I could find a flavoring oil or seasoning that tastes like REAL theater popcorn butter, I'd be thrilled! ;D ;D ;D

I was in Walmart last night and saw those Kernel Creations flavors.  They had butter, Nacho Cheese, White Cheddar, Kettle Korn and Ranch.  I bet shaking some of those on some nuts would work nicely.

How long do you guys roast your pumpkin seeds? The last batch I made, I thought I was eating sunflower seeds with the shells. Do they ever get to where it doesn't taste like a mouthful of wood?

Hi Moose! :)

It sounds like you're roasting seeds with hulls (i.e. shells).
And that's OK if you like the shells (they're 0 carb).

But I prefer to roast plain unsalted seeds without hulls.
I buy 'em at Walmart.

Here's a interesting way to shell them Moose.   :)  http://www.wikihow.com/Shell-Pumpkin-Seeds

I haven't tried this method but it seem easy enough.   ;)
