Title: Good and Simple
Post by: skychant on July 15, 2012, 03:50:50 PM
Boil 4 egglands best eggs and peel while warm...mash with fork , open a can of Underwood's Deviled Ham and mix together. Great on GG crispbread or other crackers that are low carb.  For a fancier variation add mayo and sugar-free pickle relish to taste.  Enjoy :)

Thanks!  I wonder how much better it would be with leftover ham in the food processor to cut down on sodium count.  I love me some pig!

It also goes good in Joseph's pitas with a slice of tomato.  My mother's mother used to make it on Sundays with the mayo and relish.  I learned something new about my grandmother.

Lettuce....that sounds like a great salad idea.  I need to eat more salads.   I am so excited to be making Gumbo today.  Seafood Gumbo is my favorite Creole food.  I  also like the idea of making tuna salad and guacomole and mixing it together and putting it on a salad instead of dressing.  For breakfast I had shrimp on a Joseph's pita with some sprinkle cheese on it.  I have been craving shrimp lately ::)  You are welcome Jo.

I have never tried tofu noodles,  I need to go to the healthfood store and get some ...that sounds like it would be good.  I noticed a pretty red pepper in the garden today.  I want to stuff it with tuna.  I need to get me another stockpile of tuna.  Umpa has got me craving that again.

Hi Jo! :)

Doug's Macafoney and cheese recipes call for tofu cut into cubes.
These make a more "realistic" macaroni-like eating experience due to their mac noodle shape.
We had Macafoney and Cheese Primavera the other night with these and LOVED it! ;D

So if Tyler likes Macafoney and Cheese, he would like it even more with these noodles.

A tuna noodle casserole would be good.  I have eaten tofu before and cooked with it.  The noodles I probably will like.  Tofu absorbs the flavor of whatever you cook it with really well. 8)

Hi Jo! :)

Here's a recipe for Macafoney & Cheese Primavera.

What's neat about it, is that it's versatile.
The next time I make it, I'm gonna add crumbled bacon and exchange some of the peppers for a little onion! 8)

There's also a variation of this in Doug's book.
