I had a new floater in my eye yesterday. It's a big spidery one, making things blurry in areas. Then today I see millions & millions of tiny black dots everywhere. When I look up, sky is filled with dots. (I only have one eye and one hand, they are on my right)
Going to doctor Monday.

Oh my....I hope it isn't anything serious!! Hope you are feeling better soon ;)
-
OMG hope you alright.

I have never heard of eye floaters before. Sounds serious. I only see out of one eye too. I have a disconnected retina so I am very careful. Hope you get better soon :)
-
Wow, that's a new one on me ... don't drive :o Hope all works out well....

I too, have never heard of eye "floaters". :-\
What are they?
I hope you recover soon, Susie! :)

floaters are dark spots that you see when you move your eyes, usually it's one or two.

Went to retina specialist. It is age related. No retina tearing. The sac of gel drying out in my retina, bits & pieces pulling away from the wall, and are floating. I go back in three weeks.

Well Susie that doesn't sound like fun at all :(

The gel in one of my mothers eye's dried up completely leaving a whole. She ended up having to have surgery where they replaced it. The surgery worked perfectly and her eye is almost 100% now. I hope your's doesn't get that serious, and don't let me scare you into thinking that is what is happening (this may be a different issue). We had to have a special chair for her to sit in while recovering because you have to stay face down while it heals....I think if you asked her, she would agree that was the worst part of it all. I can't remember now how long exactly you have to remain face down, but I know it was a good month that I stayed with her while she recovered.
I hope your issue resolves itself :)

Wow this is all new to me.How old are you Susie?

I'll be 54 yrs old in July. I'm just going to get used to these floaters and hope they subside.

Thank you so much Tony, I really need prayers now.

I have had a large floater for the past 4 years in my right eye. They told me that they do not go away but you do tend to get used to them. They also watch me more closely for retina detachment. Best wishes!

Thanks Joanne,
My retina specialist is apparently watching me closely since it's the only eye I have.
My floater blurs things, I cannot tell if my dishes are clean. when my symptoms first showed up I thought I saw hundreds of ants are crawling on the floor. It's was just the massive dots floating. I thought my rm was dirty and was a big spidery one that keeps floating right in my viewing area.
Hope I can adjust. It's getting to my emotions now, doesn't help that I'm in menopause, .... kinda funny.

Susie I hope the surgery comes out well for you. :-[
